The whole collection felt very subdued and restrained, unlike something you'd expect from McQueen. The effect, especially now looking back at his entire body of work and on fashion in 2004, is very surreal.

I looked up what J Moon has been up to (since first brought up her stuff when he trawled through NJAL) and I'm kind of excited by her new F/W things. her textures are a bit more reserved than before, but she's still doing some really beautiful colorblocking.

i'll post the whole thing to the NYFW if i can find full set of pix. there was some stuff that was really really excellent and a lot of less good stuff.
the last bit is a molded neoprene moto jacket by Melitta Baumeister, a very sweet girl who does yohji-and-docs thing very well in her day to day.
this is a slightly better photo of the jacket
to give you a better idea of how huge it is, it would probably fit a little large on me
