first i found this 90s looking 70s looking primary color double-breasted coat
a nice thick lavender cord jacket with paisley print. paisley is cord too
moschino jeans that to be honest fit pretty unremarkably, like some midrise bootcut early 2000s thing. it's pretty worn in/comfy though, and the back pocket heart embroidery is cute
and the most BUTTERY, EGGPLANT colored cords from dries van noten!!!
and the best part??
this thrift had a lot of cool stuff that some cool girl probably just donated all at once, and i wish i'd had the time to look more thoroughly. in the jeans section (all priced mostly the same), i saw paige, j brand, madewell, naked and famous, and maybe other recognizable labels i'm forgetting. they were all like skinny and stretchy fit in mediumish blue washes though, not something i'd wear.
i'm realizing now how much of my closet is thrifted or bought secondhand and i'm pretty happy about it. i'm contributing less to waste caused by consumptionism - giving my money to normal people and thrifts instead of big companies. it's super cheap compared to buying something retail and you can get so many unique pieces. reduce reuse recycle
the few things i have bought/do still buy new are underwear, socks, some shoes, basic stuff from american apparel, and whatever other clothes i still own from when i went into real stores haha.
i think having a mostly secondhand closet is probably true for a lot of people here/into fashion though, because it is the most affordable way to own or try out stuff from a particular designer?Statistics: Posted by mooncorp — Mon Nov 14, 2016 1:56 am
