Re: IT'S REALLY FIZZY [What are you Drinking Today]

When I drink beer I drink stouts, so I decided to organize my thoughts while I expanded a bit. Hopefully these are useful to somebody. Guinness http://i.imgur.com/fPlEVo9l.jpg It’s hard to critique Guinness for some of the things it does wrong or could do better because it doesn’t have any real comp...

Re: Thomas Tait A/W15

Hahahaha was just about to post all that

I really want to know if it's the leather dresses underneath in looks like this one:

They work much better as an undergarment though.

Re: Caitlin Price A/W15

Sneaker selection on this is ace throughout. Tracksuits are very cool too. I'm normally not a fan of visible underwear as a gimmick but this reminds me more of that Helmut Lang bra - the lines of fabric are very distinct but not overly ornamented, and it's especially effective when it's showing thro...

Re: Christopher Raeburn Women's A/W15

, does he often/ever do women's bottoms, other than sweatpants?

Seems like a lot of these looks could be very cool with some fatigues or trousers as opposed to the skirting.

Re: Christopher Kane Women's A/W15

Man the sheer/mesh panelling on those dresses is so well done.

I felt like a couple of the looks, notably:

felt out of place with the rest, especially given how cohesive the show was otherwise.

Re: Thom Browne Women's A/W15

The looks:

Critique/background/interview with Thom/most importantly extra angles:

What always strikes me about Thom's designs is that he's so damn precise. The lines of the garments are exact and purposeful in a way that is stunning, if counter to my tastes.

Re: Veganarchism

I don't know much about leather alternatives, but I will say that of all the animals raised for agricultural purposes, cows are absolutely the worst in terms of the overall environmental impact, the amount of energy required in raising them, how they impact the soils, et cetera.

Re: Questionable Ethics

But without slavery we wouldn't be on these computers talking about lace or something. Slavery has had, and still does have, it's benefits. If you disagree then throw all your shit out and move to amish town. On a serious note: How do you or I prioritize? government and our society/capitalism itsel...

Re: Hair

I had this guy cutting my hair for 10 years, always did a fantastic job. Find an actually talented hairdresser, stick with them, you'll be fine.

Note: past tense cause I shave it myself now, no need to pay for that. We're still good friends.

Wasn't sure whether to post about this here or not, but eh, it's not like there's any real consequences. My girlfriend of five years who I've posted about quite a bit broke up with me. Part of dating for so long was the issue that we became adults together, so we haven't been truly alone or single a...

Re: What are you reading today/book club

If you watch the movie looking to see the book acted out you're gonna have a bad time.

I'll have to check out the audiobook, as that sounds really interesting. Speaking of, are there any other audiobooks that come off better than the novels? I've never really done the audiobook thing before.

Re: Ask a question, get an answer

Speaking of APCs (ramdom fashion thread): Are there any APC cuts that would fit a 34 inch waist and 26-27 inch thighs? And do any of those have a high rise? Alternatively, are there any high-rise jeans that would fit the above that have a flattering cut like APC, as opposed to the straight-leg herit...

Re: What are you reading today/book club

Let's chat about The Road. I've heard endless amounts about this book; it was required reading in my high school. All kinds of suburban kids fawned over it for introducing them to nihilism. For many it was their first introduction to a creative work who's intent was not to inspire joy or love but de...

Re: The Future Is Curatorial

I'm retiring two of my most worn and loved pieces, my Wtaps cargos and my Nike Frees. http://i.imgur.com/ZhY4W0ul.jpg?1 I wore the hell out of these things.
