Re: feeltalk thread

what do you like about it? I used it to shampoo for freshman year in college, and it really didn't work for my scalp and my hair looked like shit all year. Might be more effective as soap though, I do love that minty tingle.

Re: feeltalk thread

I dunno, they do all seem pretty functionally similar. I like either unscented soap or soap that smells nice to me. Usually this means all-natural stuff, but I've used dove for periods of time and it's fine, I'd probably not buy other soap if I was given a lot of it. I like the idea of exfoliating a...

Re: there isn't an "introduce yourself" thread help

So, I already participated in the ol' irc a bit there. Guess I should say hi here as well. I'm a 22 year old bio student, been lurking mfa/mf for some time now though I think I'm done with reddit in general for good. You all seem like a great community.

Re: ramdom fashion thoughts

If you legitimately have the skills and patience to do this, then go for it (I'm jealous if you do). At the same time, I would feel kind of bad wrecking nice stuff in the size most likely to be found and worn by someone else.

Re: we love the smell of napalm in the morning

I wear a patchless but marked navy jacket from my grandfather now and then when it's really cold, but the sleeves are too short for me. It isn't a classic, I haven't been able to find anything about it.Wearing stuff with patches is cool if it's from family, otherwise it strikes me as taking cool clo...

Re: we love the smell of napalm in the morning

Thanks! Yeah, it is vietnam era for sure though my grandfather was on subs so wasn't super involved in vietnam to my knowledge. Cuffs are weird-I had assumed it had been hemmed down but it looks like they all have the the same thing with the cuffs inside the sleeve.

Re: Tatts

Not a terrible tat idea, but the first thing that comes to mind is the patagonia logo.

Re: Ask a question, get an answer

Itchiest> least itch goes regular wool, lambswool, merino, cashmere, various other exotic wools. Of these, merino is probably your best bet in terms of availability/price, generally should be ok if you've got a tee underneath. I personally find that I itch for a couple days if I haven't been wearing...

Re: ramdom fashion thoughts

I don't have a problem with expensive things/branding in general, but paying several times as much for converse with a logo that screams how much they cost rubs me the wrong way and defeats the basic cool of the shoes. They are somewhat different looking, but that's definitely not what catches the e...

Googling "pulling tissues from a tallboy" yielded this. A cryogenic tissue grinder? That the kind of tissue you're pulling from it?

Re: feeltalk thread

It's really easy to make sort of superficial friends as a frosh, esp. living in a dorm. And you know, you can have a ton of fun with them, you'll be doing all sorts of cool independent things. Some people seem to do pretty well with having friends who are friends just because they are-their friendsh...
