Re: Ask a question, get an answer

I've never had great luck with COS trousers (and i know i'm not the only one). I kept a pair of the tapered wool ones from this season with the kinda texture finish and i wish i hadn't now. URGH regret-cop. The only pair of COS trousers that fits me okay are the thick white cotton ones from last sum...

Re: Opportunity Costs

Thanks! Corner discount code is no longer valid now :( was only for a week or something. It was ' PRIVATESALE' but it won't work anymore. Best thing to do is sign up to their mailing list as there will be another code over summer at some point.

Re: collars, clavicles and cravats

Really gone off wearing shirts lately :( ...unless they're closed placket and the collar neat / small... or maybe no collar at all. I dunno, shirts aren't my thing right now. Honestly, all i've worn lately are those Uniqlo fleece heat-tech mock-neck things (i have them in 6 different colours...), us...

Re: Bags Backpacks Slings etc.

I've been using a Kanken for about 3 or 4 years now. It was the 50 year anniversary one and is kinda a dark brown / olive waxy finish with a nice leather patch and clasp (instead of the fabric ones on the normal bags). http://i39.tinypic.com/2ch7qt1.png I really like it but it doesn't feel very grow...

Re: Music, Conversation

I have that how the midwest was won comp thing. I used to pretty much only listen to 80's / 90's emo... Embrace, Shotmaker, Assfactor 4 etc before i got into Saccharine Trust and some more unhappy stuff. I went through a Cap n Jazz phase and came out the other side but i'm sure i'll go back to them ...

Re: ramdom fashion thoughts

In my experience finding good trousers is the hardest thing. I'm not really into jeans unless they're they look a bit homeless..., and even then they kinda have to be faded black / really dark grey. Dad jeans are okay i guess. But i'm still hunting for interesting trousers with a non traditional cut...

Re: Coffee and tea-vee

I'm a big coffee drinker. But not as much as i used to. I usually have a flat white these days. I've got quite into tea lately. I like green and earl grey. Also, mint leaves make some of the best tea. They seem to do tea well in Germany / Belgium etc, with lots of weird spiced flavours... chilli cho...

Re: Travel

I think travelling alone is one of the most therapeutic things someone can do. It's definitely helped me over the past year. Re: What are you reading today/book club

Pale Fire is one of my fave books! A real treat to read, so have fun. I love how it reveals things to you quite slyly. You need to keep your wits about you, too. Yeah, Pamuk's Istanbul has taken a while..., i put it down for longer than i intended to. I have read other polarising reviews of his work...

Re: We don't run on this high street; we run this high stree

Weekday is a weird one. It's run / owned by the same people as Cheap Monday, and are now all under the H&M umbrella (along with COS of course). The Weekday store stocks in house stuff, but also Lemaire and Hraun (Cedric Jacquemyn, an Antwerp Academy graduate). So that is quite cool. The clothes ...

Re: We don't run on this high street; we run this high stree

I'm a big fan of COS. The oversized textured melange knit from this season is the best thing i've bought it a while.

I quite like Uniqlo for some things, especially cheap roll necks. They went a bit crazy with fleece this season and i picked up the mock neck heattech fleece tops in about 6 colours.

Re: What are you reading today/book club

I'm reading a few things at the same time just now. I'm finishing the Orhan Pamuk book called Istanbul which i really love. Kind of a delicate autobiography but at the same time a homage to Istanbul. If you like long descriptions of people and things you'll probably like this. A very calming book! I...

Re: De Antwerpse Zes - Belgische Modeontwerpers

Great thread and information! Excellent. I went to Antwerp and Brussels at the start of last month and had a great time.
