Re: Coffee and tea-vee

Going to piggyback on what yung_lunchables said, I end up using my aeropress much more than my french press. The puck is real easy to shoot out after you're done making coffee, and you don't really have to take it apart and wash the individual parts, like a french press. An additional nice thing is ...

You're definitely right, and that's the right thing to do. Also reading back through those posts my situation sounds pretty pathetic. Sorry.

Re: feeltalk thread

Fair enough, that definitely makes sense. People have changed crazy amounts. The other part (apart from feeling kind of bad about the whole thing) that I have trouble with is just the fact that I don't know if he feels we are different; and also I have no idea how to kind of gradually separate mysel...

Re: ramdom thoughts

Always wished that I would have picked up an instrument when I was younger. Was it something you took lessons for ever/started when you were much younger or something you just decided you wanted to start?

Re: feeltalk thread

I'm young; 17 and a half or so. We were friends throughout the last two years of middle school and the first year of high school, but even then (freshman year) I could kind of feel a disconnect. He just puts off a whole different kind of "jizz" so to speak than I do as a person.

Re: feeltalk thread

I really have no idea how to handle the idea of growing away from a friend. Said friend had moved to a different town about two years back, and recently came back to a closer area. We've texted back and forth about hanging out and while he's a pretty cool person, I have nowhere near as much in commo...

Re: 'trainers by the truck load, trainers by the tonne'

I agree, and I never said there weren't sneakers in the recent years that were good. I was just giving the Janoski as a potential example for a "good" sneaker in recent years, I didn't say that there weren't many others.

Re: 'trainers by the truck load, trainers by the tonne'

Well, one that pops into my head right away is the Nike Janoski. It certainly seemed to be very popular in the skate scene, and then spread to every pacsun/zumiez in the country. I'm not sure if that qualifies it as officially "good," but it has become popular.

Re: I like to wear spandex and put things between my legs

Very general question. So my step dad gave me a Raleigh (photo that isn't mine but is the model I own below) last year that he had in storage and never used. I know it's at least a decent starter road bike (I think) and I have a blast whenever I ride it. Problem is, I know very little about proper f...

Re: Coffee and tea-vee

Have you been making it yourself or getting it from a cafe? Is there something in specific about it that you don't like, or is cold coffee just not your thing?

Re: Prawnzee's Saturday Kitchen [food thread]

I made a pot pie last night.

I think it turned out pretty well, I'm still fairly new to cooking. I did everything except for the crust (I'm lazy)

Re: ramdom fashion thoughts

Almost buying things that I only sort of like and then catching myself and not buying them is very nearly as satisfying as buying things that I do like. It feels good to exercise some sort of self control.

Re: ramdom fashion thoughts

odradek Definitely agree. i went into today knowing the outfit was semi-ridiculous, so I shouldn't even be put off by the reaction anyways. honestly, a random fashion though about somebody laughing at my outfit is almost as worn out as hearing somebody on mfa talk about being called a yacht-owning ...

Re: Ask a question, get an answer

So a few months ago I tried to purchase Unbranded denim from Blue Owl. They ended up sending me a defective pair and I exchanged them. In apologies for the trouble, Jay gave me $25 (which was very kind) and I got $10 credit just for making the purchase. Fast forward to now, and I've sold the jeans t...

Re: distinctly different from the other food threads

culver's can be cool but the last few times I've had concrete mixers I've been disappointed. granted it has been months and might just be my local place, but they've been kind of runny. the whole point of a concrete mixer is to be thick/compact, right?

Realizing lately how much fun it is to not restrict myself to wearing denim as a bottom like 95% of the time (which is what I used to do).
