Anyone know good places to get nice fabric for sewing basic shirts/trousers? Been on other board's DIY threads, and seems to be a common trouble

Going to school in Boston, I should probably check it out but from what I can glean online it seems Boston's fabric district is pretty small and just doesn't compare to NYC
