I lost the love of my life

I hope this is okay to post here! Recently I had an unexpected and horribly painful split with the love of my life. He introduced me to this forum, actually! We are both really into clothes, and we spent the summer traveling together in our best outfits and building trust. It was a really beautiful ...

Re: radical acts of self care

Not forcing yourself to act happy when you're not

Dressing well just to sit at a dive bar

Ordering lots of food in advance when you're going through a rough patch and know you won't cook

Homemade hummus (when you start cooking again)

Forcing yourself not to buy a scale

Re: Bags

Forgive me because I still can't figure out how to post images here but here's a link: https://i.imgur.com/dSYUK0h.jpg Just on a daily basis I wear this Uniqlo x Lemaire bag that has zippered sides (you can unzip the thing into BY FAR the largest bag I've ever seen). When you wear it all zipped up, ...

Re: care meets

What are Seattle/Olympia area people doing for Thanksgiving? Would anybody be interested in meeting up to look at clothes and have some food and drinks this coming week?

Re: What are you reading today/book club

Gravity and Grace by Simone Weil- this book has saved my ass for the past few weeks The Chronology of Water by Lidia Yuknavitch- my favorite memoir and a huge source of kinship for me, as Yuknavitch is also a big alcoholic who has lost a lot of love The Beauty of the Husband by Anne Carson- nice and...

Re: Vests

My favorite vest is this black lamb leather vest I (somehow) found in an NYC Goodwill. When it zips all the way, the collar is very tall and stiff and stands up on its own. A very efficient way for me to hide my neck when I'm feeling shy (does anyone else do this?) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bb6qpL...
