Re: Ask a question, get an answer

Anyone here short (under 5'9) and have RO drop crotch sweatpants? I'm looking at a pair but am concerned by the length, could hem them a bit but too much and then the crotch is way too low and it might look funny..

Re: overdressed, undereducated: let's talk about school!

Just got confirmation that assuming I don't fail any of my classes this semester (which should not be a problem) I will indeed be finished my undergrad. I was pretty sure that this was the case but was waiting for approval of all my transfer credits from my exchange semesters ...now that they are al...

Re: ramdom jorts

Was wearing my Robert Geller flight pants (that I bought on c-t from germinal) at University the other day and walked past a guy who said ''look at how fucking short that fucking fags pants are'' . The words directed at me didn't bother me in the slightest, but the fact that people still talk and th...

have a bio midterm in a couple hours...I feel like for anyone who has any interest in science this should be an easy 100% but for someone like me I'll be grateful to even pass it at all.

Re: feeltalk thread

I have been in this situation before, you basically have two choices (and I know you probably know this).. you can either acknowledge that some of your feelings probably aren't rational and make a conscious decision to try and approach the job with a positive attitude for the next while and see if i...

Re: How do you make your living?

I spent a few years working in banking and hated my life, left that for another offer and worked for a consulting company within the lumber/forestry industry that paid a very very nice salary but required living in the middle of nowhere. Decided I wanted to go back to school, the original plan was t...

Re: ramdom jorts

Talk to someone else about it ASAP and then casually say to him that you were out for coffee with someone (or something) and that you guys had a really great idea you were excited to work on together. Or the cute girl thing.

Girlfriend came for a 4 day visit I referenced earlier in this thread.. her first time in Canada and spending over 2 grand and 28 hours travel time to spend a few days in Saskatchewan, Canada really meant a lot to me. Was awesome how well it went, family loved her despite there being a slight langua...

Re: ramdom fashion thoughts

I went to a Hutterite Colony this weekend. It was really cool but it left me really wanting one of their black, collarless chore coats, some of them looked so cool when they fit properly.

I have worked in retail clothing basically since I was 15 and still do as a part time job while I finish University, I love brick and mortar stores and it's something that I'm really passionate about..I still VERY rarely buy anything online, I think if you've worked in retail, especially in an area ...

Re: overdressed, undereducated: let's talk about school!

I'm in Poli Sci, I had a ''concrete'' job that paid significantly more than I am likely to make when I graduate this winter, I bought a house, had a car and a dog and the whole shebang but I was pretty unhappy. I don't regret taking poli sci, I find the subject pretty interesting and I don't think I...

I don't like most Nike's but agree with UnwashedMolasses on Air Max's and a couple others being nice trainers. I work part time in a store that stocks Adidas/NB/Puma/Nike and e...

Re: Television rules the nation

Utopia was one of the most compelling pieces of television I've seen in a long time. The sheer intensity of it all and the composition/visual choices/music create such an unnerving world. Episode three in particular, jesus. I hadn't watched it until a couple of days ago when I read this post, just ...

Re: Television rules the nation

The network 'starz' has been surprising me lately.. I didn't really like Spartacus at all but I just finished season 1 of Black Sails, an hour long drama about pirates, and really enjoyed it. Also I just watched the premier of their new show Outlander and think it will be a really great show, produc...

I think I first saw Jan Jan in the Belgian designer thread here on c-t and since then have become obsessed with him, his style is basically what I have been searching for myself for quite some time, and I had that ''aha!'' moment you get when you find something you feel like was made for you. Re: overdressed, undereducated: let's talk about school!

It's a cool path to take if that's what you want to do. When I was in Korea I met a few people with similar degrees working for international companies in Korea or even Korea companies... It would probably benefit you to know/learn an Asian language and be willing to work abroad as well.
