is there a name for ... I don't know what to call it. modern/contemporary menswear? the type of looks/garments that are interchangeable between the street and the office, where either sneakers or oxfords would both work just as well. I like the designs of Ervell a lot.

I hate genre-fication but I'm looking for flintstone for this type of style.

it's easier to list brands that fit the description than to give it a name, but the look you describe is very modern and minimalist in my opinion.

ervell, prada, acne, ami, our legacy, jil sander, often raf simons. there's a huge list of them. the strongest signifier I associate with this style is that it tends to trade in shapes and garments which have very few social connotations, or at least have few connotations in 2014 (maybe that's all it means to be in vogue?). simple and clean wool coats, solid knits, straight or cropped trousers, minimalist derbies and baller trainers.

To respond to hooplah, definitely not of a skinny fit but i still would want them relatively slim. I can't do super long inseams because I'm super short so preferably something that would come in shorter inseams. It also gets stupidly hot in Orlando so would definitely need a lighter fabric (which i assume most white jeans would come in) Pure white, or an off white like the ones Ervell has this season would both be great, Ervell ones are too slim for me though

these are straight, pretty close to 501s, but are no joke the nicest jeans I've ever handled. not pure white but whiter than ecru.



can't pull a link off yoox mobile but shouldn't be hard to be find. seriously, material and details on these jeans impress me more than anything I've ever seen from Japanese brands or Roy type artisans. has all the prerequisite denim head details if you care about that stuff (leather washer hidden rivets, complete piping, chain stitch blabla)

would buy three more pairs if my size was still in stock
