first our rak thread gets dominated by all this british ebay nonsense, now they come after me with their polos and raeburn.

also would like to slightly apologize for derailing this, whats important is that we come together and don't spend money.

Polo's are serious dad-core where I live and they just carry that connotation for me so I'd personally never wear them.

On a related note.

After I get my BOM008s and my luxire order I'm not buying clothes until after winter. Realistically I have enough pants/shoes/shirts/jackets to keep me very content much past winter. Decided against the noragi and I'm so indecisive on another pair of shoes I think if I end up getting something it'll just be a consumerist itch.

I keep going back and forth on whether or not I want to commit to a cop freeze, but all the while I just haven't bought anything so it turned into an unintentional one. I think I might just "save" money and drop it on some big purchases this fall,

a new pair of boots (probably acne pistols but also want a thing without heels?)
a cashmere oversized/draped cardigan
a new pair of loafer-slip-on-things, will probably end up with Dieppa Restrepos because I love the way they fit my feet.
a building block bag, preferably the fold messenger.

I think a cop freeze would also force me to focus on fabricating my own clothes rather than just filling holes with things that aren't quite what I want but good enough. I get into online browsing habits that start to feel quite monotonous and it's good to take a break and think about where I want my aesthetic to go, etc. I'm just worried something I want will pop up on super sale or something and I will cave to my worldly desires, which I guess wouldn't be that bad.

The last thing I bought was this 1940's or 50's wool navy "sea scouts" uniform sweater which basically looks like a navy uniform but fits (me) little boy sizes.

By not buying clothes last month my credit card bill seems to have dropped about a grand. I never spend a grand on clothes a month but I guess just the overall thrifty feel has made me reign in some purchasing.

Need to not get carried away and carry it through for another month.

Hello, not buying another stitch of clothing in August. Even if it is the one jacket to rule them all.

This is going to seriously not be fun.

hearing someone who is close to 30 say they had to sell their favourite clothes because they needed the money is motivation for continued no cop

Feel like I'm often finding myself chasing the mythical unicorn of wardrobe contentness, really need to just cop freeze indefinitely. Going to set myself at a month for now though and reflect.

Also going to step back from c-t as inspo for the most part, need to find my own way and maybe spend some more time in care. (FMOW largely involving punk rock)

Why not involve yourself in fashion that isn't related to you buying clothes?

Never understood why anyone would think the mythical unicorn of unicorn contentedness would be possible - surely the only person that would be possible for is someone who isn't interested in clothing.

Why, for that matter, would anyone interested in fashion want to 'complete' their wardrobes?

To answer syeknom:

This is a theoretical idea that nobody (or at least nobody on the internet) seems to actually practice.

I meant more that I wanted to dress less like someone who browses care tags and more like how I want to dress, I guess.

Avoiding falling into the same niche as mfa uniforms, or workwear et all.

I will certainly be still participating, just hopefully with less money to none spent on wonton purchases.

I think it was about two months ago that Major General Jonathan Maximilian "Hacks" Dunning Viscount Windsor proposed that the two of us enter into an "Ultimate no cop deathmatch" from now until Christmas.
