For the last two years I've had a solid gray Patagonia bookbag that I think cost $80? My brother wanted one so my parents decided to splurg and get us both one.

Image

Couldn't find it on their site but this pic from google is exactly identical to mine, so I think it's the "Refugio" pack I have.

Anyway, I carry 3 or 4 binders and 3 or 4 college weight books to school, so this bag handles a shit ton of weight wonderfully. The straps are incredibly plush and never chafe, though the weight is obnoxious after a while. I keep calculators in the open side pockets and small goods in the small compartment in the back. Occasionally I'm bumming too hard to wear big boy shorts with pockets and keep my smartphone in a zipped compartment at the very top.

I love it. Though it doesn't have the L.L. Bean guarantee, Patagonia sure engineered this bag to do it's job. I'd recommend this bag to anyone with a boring blue/gray pallet, or who doesn't care about sexy bookbags and wants to save their shoulders. It's great having a super durable hiking bag and not worrying about getting a new one.

Picked up this Eastpak in Madrid for too much money when my backpack fell apart. It's waterproofed, and the inside has this feeling like it's waxed (it's probably something synthetic. Also 30 year warranty.

Can anyone recommend me a cheapish simple black tote or shoulder bag? Pref canvas or something not leather

Just went and saw it at the showroom. They had it suspended from the roof by 2 cables.

Holy fuck.

Like seriously I don't think I've ever handled a backpack that nice. Totally waterproof with the inner lining all done in orange like the standard Porter tanker shit, side access zipper for your lappy, roughly 1 billion pockets, really really fucking nice suede/leather that doesn't feel less technical in any way than the other materials they've used, and somehow not super heavy.

Just ordered a custom Trash Messenger Bag (http://trashmessengerbags.com). It's a local dude making bags for bike couriers here in Minneapolis and they're really awesome bags. I needed something bigger than my chrome bag and I wanted to get back to a two strap bag. So I've ordered a sweet roll top, that will hopefully be done in the next few weeks. Full review and pictures to come then.

is it asinine to say that this is a good deal? cuz it kinda is compared to what WM packs have cost in the past

I'm not gonna cop but yeah, it might. I don't think its super ugly, its just earth tones.

My wonderful mother got me this weekend bag from Maxwell Scott for Christmas, and it's such a great fucking present. They're a company located in York, but all of the bags are produced in Tuscany. I've already taken it abroad twice and it's so nice to carry, spacious too. Would definitely recommend. Easily superior to my girlfriend's stupid LV holdall.

when i was down for my chelsea interview i finally got to say hi to ally of ally capellino which was so nice! we've been in internet-touch for a few years after i posted about a bag but it's taken until now for us to meet irl etc. managed to get out to the shop in shoreditch and it's always so much better seeing things in a physical sense rather than on the internet. i've liked her bags for a while but i think she's upped her game recently and i love the interesting materials she's now using ('silver leather' etc) and hush hush, there's a beautiful wool coat in the works for aw15.

i love pretty much everything transparent / semi opaque so this was gorgeous to see irl

veg tanned leather sides and semi opaque synthetic panels on front and back. comes in ice cream pink / blue and grey / black

when the light hits them !!
