Held in a cavernous former train depot Halle Freyssinet peppered with supportive columns. Gold leaf and lights decorated the distant walls of the room lined with waiting models and lone musicians performed in the middle: the music echoing and reverberating in the vast space.

i don't know if this is belongs here because it isn't so much about locations as decoration, but i love when designers use flowers.
there was show that covered the entire runway in bramble/lavender i think, i can't remember what it was though
i think the two best examples are dries and raf at dior... and to a lesser extent raf at his farewell jil show

MMM is doing their f/w show at the headquarters of the french communist party (because they need money), it was designed by Niemeyer.

It's not the first time a fashion show has been held here, Prada was the first to do it, TB did one in 2010 as well.



The central room looks pretty cool, Dior did one of their ad there.

The first Schneider show was done around musical chairs. Like they had models who would walk around the group of chairs to music - a chair would be taken away and then that model would essentially walk down through the audience and away out of sight. I thought that was really cool! He doesn't do shows anymore. I think he regards them as part of the 'luxury' side of 'fashion', which he seems to have increasing disdain for. I'm with him on that for the most part.... but i still like looking at the photos.
