I like the uniform better with dark jeans like this, but it's not my decision to make. just now recognizing that the cuffs are too large

tbh zevolution you remind me of myself when I first started posting here. One of the things that helped me dress cooler is, honestly, find a fit pic you like and copy it. I would find take a picture of milspex and copy what he wore. Eventually I found out what I liked and didn't like about that style. Then I copied appleseed or something. Eventually I incorporated things I liked and didn't like etc. I'm still within this process, but I think it's gone a long way to dressing better. Also an obvious point, being open to criticism goes a long way; there are some knowledgable (and helpful) people on this forum

Also stance and taking good fit pics goes a long way (hypocrisy I know :P)

for example the only different thing about these two pictures is that

1) I took the cuffs down like someone advised me to
2) and I'm standing differently and the picture shows the clothing better

yeah I definitely see what you mean, I'm only 5'6" anyway. are there any known ways to combat that while still keeping the pant-cuffed-over-boot look? I really love it :-/

hmm, that's tough then. Maybe just do it if you don't mind looking a bit short. Or maybe cropped pants instead?

it's primarily the wash, it's so blehhh for lack of a better term. very strong dad-jean/middle school jizz for some reason. every fit would look better with other pants such as olive/khaki/gray chinos or cargos or cords or something. i think people rely on jeans too much when theres a whole wide world of pants out there.

if you want to stick to jeans it would be cool to get some patched up action going on. i personally don't mind the high cuff.

obviously you don't look bad (in fact your fits are usually quite good) but the pants are a let down comparatively.
