last year i picked up a cardigan of rakuten from undercover's fw98 collection "Small Pieces," which features zippers instead of seams and a hilarious care-tag that tells kids 18 and under to not play with it. it fit boxy and was kind of weird but i had fun with it.

today, a silly ebay impulse purchase came in: a cpo shirt from the same collection. same boxy fit, same idiotic bulky zipper seams. like the cardigan, I liked the idea of wearing it deconstructed.

worn under the cardigan, it's just a mess of loose panels and loose sleeves. chaos, it's wonderful. i laid them on top of each other and got to wondering...can they zip together?
they can. the reason they both look so weird is that they're made on the same pattern. same zipper lengths. same zipper positions.
