I'm going to say the unsolicited 'masturbatory' critique just did not offer any suggestions of value (what is a 'south american peasant shoe') and was instead based on abstract theory which 1. is not pertinent in the discussion of 'personal style' unless you like to alienate yourself from your clothing and 2. not productive since it was purely diagnostic instead of focusing on possible improvements.

The response was shitty but I can understand where the du is coming from because so is someone imposing their own inflated 'style' theory on something as personal as how you dress. Bonus points for leaving him with no pointers other than abstract jargon.

yo if you can give me some indication of what context I'm supposed to take that rep comment in that'd be great because those terms have very specific and pointed meanings in architecture. I'm assuming it refers to the structure of a critique ?

Sorry Eddie that was a bit flippant. I was just struck by the structure of the criticism/anti criticism exchange that happened. Odadrek offered up an essentially colloquial sort of visual analysis which Mr. Bird in flight rejected categorically as impractical and not true to his intentions. And then the way you responded reminded me quite a bit of the language used in 'crit' discussions. I especially understand your complaints given that people generally disregard your project and then ask why you didn't do it how they would have done etc etc.

I don't do architecture but that's just my impression.

As an aside, I find the visual analysis of photos of people's clothes to be an especially bad way of determing if the outfit is 'good' not. There's so many other factors tied up in photos that its not really possible to make any kind of accurate value judgements. The inherent constraints of the waywt style photo don't help either.

Went thrift shopping today and found these givenchy pants for 9$. Today was a struggle with lighting bc my awkward roommate was in the living room with the good light and he closes the blinds when hes in there because he hates the sunshine (sketch).
