of course i didnt think anyone would be bothered if i just said "guys". but youre just as predictable and single-minded as i thought. "we wouldnt mind if you just said guys, youre constructing a fictitious person who would be offended to try and further your point through a strawman". "we cant just ignore this behavior it must be addressed".
instead of being offended that i only said "guys", youre just getting that offended that i mentioned the idea, which is somehow worse and more comical. its just witch hunting and finger pointing at this point. "only an idiot would get offended at this, but this other thing that is exactly the same can not be tolerated"... its antithetical to your point and maybe youd have more respect if you actually had a real plan, and a consistency in ideology that didnt revolve around blaming others instead of the actuality of it all. if you're a feminist, and your ideology is that of equality, why are you wasting your time with defending what "this label should do and would say in this situation" instead of instances of inequality? this is where the lack of respect, and people not wanting to give themselves the label comes from (because its more focused on the definition of the label and ideology than the actual things it claims to be 'protecting') but ya, you are definitely not the type to get offended when someone only says guys.
