Is there a consensus on whether shirts should do that or not? B/c it was under before and then I thought it looked better over.

Under looks better in the vast majority of outfits unless you're really going for something very specific, in my book at least

Tuck it under. If it stays under it should always be tucked. If it works its way out of its own accord then never tuck it again.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The jacket seems be a controversial piece, with the majority recommending to lose it. What kind of fits would you all prefer to see this jacket in?
, could you put into words what you don't like about this outfit, and what you would recommend to improve it?
, for better or worse your biker/rocker cowboy label appeals to me ;) Maybe one day I'll pull off that look in a more cohesive outfit.

Uniqlo fleece mock neck
Ian Batten quilted top
Cheap Monday bomber
Other Shop Edward wool trousers
Docs
(unfinished new kitchen)
These are my fave items from over winter and i feel really comfy in them... the Ian Batten top is so nice. It's a boxy short / wide fit, made from a thick'ish wool with a silky quilted lining and there are buttons on the shoulder and down by the hip (if you undo the ones at the hip it kinda flares out in a really cool way). The trousers are from Other Shop (mentioned in the random fashion thoughts thread) and are a really nice salt / pepper... slightly high waisted, a little cropped and pleating at the top.
Better pic of trousers:

Ah, and I were eyeing those trousers up last month - very nice. Lovely fabric, fit picture doesn't do them justice. Think i'd like to see them with a beefier roll/cuff.

Yeah, they're so nice IRL. Really glad i bought them. Kind of annoyed i didn't get the black heavy wool version in the sale as well, but i didn't know how they would fit... then it was too late :(
I agree with the bigger cuff - i tried it earlier but since they're already a little cropped it felt like they could be either one big cuff or two slightly smaller ones. The smaller cuffs seemed to hold better while the larger one kinda flapped around :\ gonna have a play around with them later.

yeah i think you're both right in something longer on the top maybe being better. I don't think the picture helps...kinda distorts height / proportions etc. The top is kinda cropped so that's not helping either. I'll try a long t shirt underneath the Batten top instead!
I do have long legs though...
Edit: Actually, here's another version of the same thing... legs don't look quite as long this time.

Verilyvert, i think when you tuck the shirt it looks pretty cool and if it appeals to you should embrace the cowboy look since it's cool but doesn't get much play on the internet for whatever reason (other than through a workwear/revivalist lens). The trick is not to look like you're cosplaying but that shouldn't be too hard if you keep it modern. Look at adam kimmel, early 00s margiela, n.hoolywood, thesoloist, last couple of saint laurent collections, etc for flintsto
