Personally have become more sympathetic towards those tags in the year or whatever since they were last posted. You could interpret the tag as confused and backward, but maybe it's actually meant to be discouraging you from buying the stuff in the first place. Obviously I shop online so tags are like a sudden surprise, but maybe if you were browsing and you saw a shirt, picked it up, then saw that label it might give you some pause.
