you probably won't be happy with the cut of anything milsurp if you want them to be heavily tapered. you can cinch good ones in with the ankle strings but its not really the same. ditto for hiking brands

i'd just buy commuter cargos if you really want something cheap

So I deffo want black leather vans for summer and beyond, but none of the options are perfect.

There's the Opening Cemeony pair which are monochrome and have crocodile embossed leather, which are plusses, but they're also twice as much as the mainline Vans pairs and i have mixed feelings about OC's box logo (although this is almost definitely the pair if money was no issue): http://www.openingceremony.us/products. ... EN%27S%206

Then there's the mainline Vans options. One has the embossing (a weave pattern that I don't like as much as the OC crocs, but still) but then it has while soles :(. (http://www.vans.com/shop/mens-shoes-cla ... ck-leather) An the other is totally monochrome with no embossing at all which is fine, if a little boring (http://www.vans.com/shop/mens-shoes-cla ... black-mono)

thoughts? insults? suggestions? donations?

I got this one:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00A ... detailpage

I got it in black though.

It's cool because the fold over nature of the strap means you can strap a coat in there.

The whole "wear it over your shoulder" concept is fake though. Shit rolls round.

I would robocop a minibag I could strap a jacket to which also had a stabiliser strap.

If there's any weight difference it'll roll around. Probably fine if you're standing still but walking about or biking will move it

Whilst looking for a stap-man-bag I found this which isn't a bad looking helmet bag type bag if someone is looking

@windowflowers

yeah you're totally right but I realized i have too many pairs of black shoes with white soles and that what i really want is a totally monochrome shoe. Now I just have to reason whether or not crocodile is worth $50.

lowering the tone, but can anyone recommend 'no show' socks that actually stay on and prevent me getting hideous blisters from my derbies?
(you need to deliver here, or you'll be seeing more of those roshes)

is it ludicrous to buy this navy NOMA T.D. long coat even though I already have that HW Carter sorta-long chore coat in navy?

it does have that awesome pattern/cool removable hood & soutien collar, and it is substantially longer than my HW Carter... and I do really like it but idk if it would just be superfluous??

Looking for mid or hi tops that are really slim in the throat and are ankle strapped. Right now I think these converse are really the most ideal thing so far, which is weird.

Image
Any ideas? I'd like to avoid buying converse, but it's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for.

Edit: no Af1s.

I wanna get some derbies and creeperify them. TUK and George Cox don't have what I'm looking for.

How about these guys? Fiorentini + Baker 706 derbies.

Image

Would buy second hand and such for better deals since the resole is gonna take at least $50. If anyone has other models/ideas for me that'd be great. Not really into RW Postmans though.

I'm looking for some kind of jacket similar to (image in spoiler) I guess but maybe a little bit cheaper? Corduroy, twill, not too fussy on material. I've seen the hidden zip OL jacket from this season and I don't think that's quite what I'm looking for either

I was thinking about getting this Our Legacy denim tee, but it's a pretty hefty cash drop for me. Does anyone know of something similar but in a lower price range?
