What is the BEST way to carry a klean kanteen that isn't a bag? Sling? Belt Loop? Molle attach it to your tac vest? Are there any jackets with pockets big and reinforced enough? Carabiner it to the knife loop on your M70 alpenflage?

Yo yo. I'm looking at buying some lowtop converse. How do they fit? If I wear an 8.5 in a vans authentic, what size should I go for in converse?

I have a pair of the black selvedge skinnies and they're pretty nice, the material feels tougher than the non selvedge ones I had earlier and while they're stiffer at first they break in fairly soon after buying.

idk about sizing but I got them in the same size as I get most of my bottoms in, although I bought them with the miracle air ones at the same time to compare and the airs were like an inch smaller despite having the same size label, so there could be some variation.

Is there a thread where we talk about boots? I don't know what I want enough to post in the "I don't know what I want" thread

There is a thread about but nothing on proper boots so feel free to create a thread. There is also where you might get some flintstone.

common projects combat boots look really nice but they are very expensive. is it possible just to get military surplus boots that are about as good? any other alternatives possibly? i feel like common projects are hiking their prices every season because they just can and i don't want to fund that

edit: i forgot doc martens exist

Do you guys think this is too warm for Austin Texas fall/"winter"? I'm talking like 60-70 F for fall and 40-65 F for winter.
More importantly, does it LOOK too warm for a super mild winter?

Does anyone happen to know if the turtleneck here was a piece in the collection? If not, I'm looking for something similar and thin enough that can be worn under a shirt. I've tried heattech but it's just not that comfortable. It needs to be really thin, warmth doesn't matter.

what jackets are similar to barbour but are not barbour (besides like the WM collab)? basically a fall jacket that has some rain resistance that doesn't have all of the prep school implications.

I want to resole a pair of Geos. What should I look for/ask for in a cobbler, is there anything special? I'm based in Southeastern Idaho right now and most cobblers in my area seem to specialize in cowboy boots (surprise).

Wishful thinking but a heavy, velvety corduroy trouser, but with a Lemaire pleated cut? Someone? Anyone?

i sized down half for both one stars and one star pros. one stars fit longer in the toe than the pro model, and dont have the padded tongue so you might be able to size down 1

I just got my first pair of raws(N&F weird guys 10oz black) and they need to be hemmed. How much should I expect to pay for a decent tailor and what to do I look for(is google reviews enough?)? Never had to have anything tailored before. If it matters I'm in like a small to medium metropolitan area(~60 000 people).

unless you want them chainstitched you can get pants hemmed anywhere

don't pay more than $10-15, depending on how nice the place is/how wealthy the neighbourhood you live in is

ideally though, wait until you've had a chance to soak them so you won't be surprised by vertical shrinkage later on
