too late to edit, i hope you don't mind if i post again. thanks for the feedback, shall i take it that the people hitting neg rep agree with him?
regardless, i wish people would add a comment with the neg rep, even just to say they agree with a rep comment already there
maybe i should have posted this in the lab thread, but seeing as its here now i'd like it if you could tell me what i can do better/ what you don't like about this outfit
sorry for double post

I feel like it needs higher-fashion pairings to actually look good - you just look like a road worker with the flannel and jeans.
EDIT: "Higher-fashion" is sort of nebulous, sorry. Some very deliberately streetwear-y or slouchy stuff layered around it would make it more interesting, trying to edge away from generic/workwear stuff to make it more incongruous and seem like a conscious choice rather than a safety mandate.
Wait, are you wearing it deliberately and not as a safety mandate?

PPE =/= fashun
Junya did a dress awhile ago adapted from hi vis vests, but as is youre never gonna style that convincingly

hi vis gear would look good if you are some swaggy CSM/club kid type, there is a reason you can find a ton of it at vfiles and patricia fields. I have a dickies short sleeve with 3m that is pretty wearable. all the high vis supreme gear is easy to wear.
something like that vest is too aggro/flambo to wear with normcore/trendy clothes though. (to be worn for wearing its sake i mean.. nothing wrong with actually wearing it at night for utility's sake)

There's a difference between vfiles shit and actual safety vests
In the same way that fashion bdus are cool but current era fatigues are a uniform (and a really terrible look for civilians)
Supreme stuff is basically unrelated, adding 3M to something doesn't make it actual workwear

I'd wear that vest with a large sized shell jacket, tee, baggy jeans and a shoe of your choosing, draw something on the back and act like you don't care with a smile.

been a minute!!
hard to get nice lighting in here. not really any textural details on the pants so there's nothing there to miss.
beanie is american apparel, shirt is 2003 lang, pants are yohji's regulation line and shoes are gats.

Really enjoying the 'voluminous and comfy on top, street-militia on the bottom' thing. Feels like city armor
Underneath the coat is basically the same top half as the last pic i posted, just with a lighter colored thermal under the poncho-thing.

Bless (barely vis)
Gap (no vis)
