it seems to me like the nicer or well known the pieces of the fit are, the more ok it is for the picture to be lo-res. It seems like the quality is implied because the clothes are quality
If the clothes are unknown like thrift or something rare, high res cool picks are better in order to better appreciate the textures and details.
personally I'm a sucker for the OG c-t pics that seem to be just taken before going out the door. To me it implies a really utilitarian approach, like the clothes are great but they're a part of a realer lifestyle. That's more interesting than a staged shot. I like pictures taken in windows, maybe I'll do that.
Of course, shots by friends are also great fun, they're really two different things and I like the balance of the two on here
