I think the point of this thread is to talk about personal uniforms. I may be wrong though.

^true that. as it stands the suits are too severe a deviation from the rules stated in smiles' initial post; "personal uniforms" would be under a different thread entirely imho.

I think ben was also joking. Actually originally I was going to cycle through five different casual suits but I changed my mind at the last minute.

The suit is working out OK except that it doesn't fit me that great. It's also kind of awkward to wear a suit on a bike. It's like it doesn't keep you warm from the wind at your front but it keeps you too warm by being on your back.

As for wearing in the office it's true I normally take off the jacket unless I'm going for lunch or to a meeting or whatever. So most of the time I just look like a dork in khakis and a white long sleeve.

, riding a bike while wearing on a suit must make you feel like a living streetstyle shot. Surely that's a benefit that trumps comfort.

I have yet to wear a casual suit in the month of April. Been too busy with taking Instagrams for my small but dedicated legion of Korean Engineered Garments enthusiasts. If anyone has a pair of forest green S/S pants in a size 32-34, hit me up because there's a theoretically excellent summer suit waiting to happen.

in an effort to bring back 2015/16 care-tags, i will be doing the uniform challenge until june (which narrowly beats the other idea, lighting myself on fire in protest).

0) INTRODUCTION/NOTES:
- using this challenge as a vehicle, i would like to learn more about life and scope out some potential ways to get rid of my clothing before i have to move in september.
--- really need to get rid of some shoes :/
- the uniform is essentially what i wore for the last month.
--- uniform construction was influenced by my job, i'm an office boy and like to look charming/professional.

1) COAT:
- gray patagonia coat (shouldn't be necessary or admissible)
- [AS NEEDED] black patagonia rain jacket

2) MIDLAYER:
- olive gap anorak
- gray uniqlo waffly knit sweater
--- (this gets gross and will need to be cleaned)

3) TOP:
- 3 white oxfords
- 3 Uniqlo U gray long sleeve tees
-- (sundays = free space, nobody sees me anyway)

4) BOTTOM:
- wide navy chinos, vintage polo
- wide khakis, vintage american eagle
-- gray patagonia shorts, administered as needed (beach or poolside only)

FOOTWEAR:
- 6" brown roughout oak street bootmaker hunt boots
- 6" beige nubuck orvis chukkas
- 6" sage+camo danner boots
-- white birkenstocks, administered as needed (beach or poolside only)
