Trash once you said something along the lines of you'd wear Peir Wu if you lived in the future instead of a collegiate bro incubator. What is it about Undercover that you feel is more suited to that type of environment?

there's something clean and very sharp about peir's stuff and while i don't want to call it rigid, there is a some kind of structure to the feel of the thing that seems incongruous with how i live my life, like it demands a certain regimentation in action. undercover manages to take sharp tailoring, tech fabrics, etc and make them...i don't know, eccentric? unfinished? overused? it's like you're starting at some other point in the story of the clothes than fresh off the production line. you can do things in it, like sleep on a park bench or stay up all night, just as easily as you can exercise the sort of social restraint i see in peir. the fact that my environment is one of drunken assholes, late night stumbles and hazy hungover brunches seems that rebellion against that, at least my rebellion comes as an incidental spiraling-out-of-control life rather than a futuristic normal angle that i feel comes out of peir.

Are the seasonal printed logo esque stuff his equivalent to the box tshirt?
Like printing "BAND LYRIC" on a tshirt is alright, because the bands are always cool, but it always feels pretty lazy compared to the other stuff, which is all great. The outerwear and the shoes in particular are very cool.
Anyone willing to hazard a guess as to the next band? I'm going to say Devo.

i'm with chilljin. that burning x is a pretty great idea for a print
clash and sex pistols are probably too big. though i guess i would have said the same thing about talking heads.
what about mbv?

i was thinking the fall but i dunno if mark e. smith quite has the imagery for something like uc. i'm hoping for wire but again, same problem. jun's predilection for re-using a fabric (does he order too much?) for a season or two after makes me think that we might end up with something like ss13 again, a continuation of the clothing themes that are by that point tied to the previous season but dropping the band imagery. at least that's what those ginghams and checks feel like.
edit: i guess the hex enduction hour cover looks like a uc t shirt already
