how did patrik ervell become the face of normcore?

so i own the most useless shoes of all time. these are ervell prototypes that were made for the runway but never put into production.

they're essentially just redwing postmans with a lucite wedge added in. they are so, so useless, but i just can't hate them. in two years, i have never worn them once.

sorry these pictures are horrifyingly bad quality. i can maybe take some better quality ones later when i get off my lazy ass.

Who is the Ervell man/woman?

Anyone know why Ervell makes the back pockets on jeans so small?

Patrik's totally updated his site as of this morning. Lot of new stuff up there, a lot of the S/S stuff looks great. Not sure how I feel about the site re-design, but people had been saying they'd been having problems with ordering online and such, maybe things will be a bit better from here on out? He's got some band-collar shirts now, which is interesting for him, quite like them.

And this is the second season where a lot of the shirting's been made in portugal

Yeah , that's a question I'm going to ask them at the sample sale because I've been wondering the same thing

Especially because they've been raising prices (club collar was 175 last spring then 190 last season and now 220) so I don't even think this was a decision based on minimising manufacturing costs.

Sample sale had a ton of good stuff. Worth checking out if you're in nyc
