i am super taken with j moon and desperately want to purchase one of those sweaters. it seems incredibly luxe in a children's-carpeting way. definitely agree about it being playful but not silly—the way she cuts together different textures and colors is super masterful and intriguing. love the makeup on the models, too, it perfectly reflects the ethos of the clothing.

andrea jiapei li is also incredible—love the use of volume for these large, stiff fabric ties/knots. it can be a very feminine/light little detail, but the way it's blown up to huge scale and done with kind of stiff weighty fabrics makes it feel quite different. the first and last pictures you posted, the fabrics have a subtle…texture? pattern? that creates this super trippy holographic shifting-pattern look. love it.

i'm going to trawl NJAL and will ofc share my interesting finds to this thread~

andrea jiapei li (third post in this thread!) has been shortlisted for the LVMH prize. and includes some other care-favorites. am very excited. more press for her? more stockists? am totally going to scour DSM NY for her stuff this summer~

I recently came across this designer through a blog. I really like her unique choices in fabrics as well as the negative space in her pieces. Some of her dresses use wood to create structure. Her initial collection was entitled VOID and I've collected a couple of my favorite pictures with links to the rest of the collection below. I think aesthetically many of the pieces are very interesting although the unique materials may make them unwearable.

She also just posted her AW15 collection while I was writing this post so I'll briefly include it as well. "this collection has taken flintstone from the movement, looking closely into the way movement is expressed in buildings and design in order to create emotion. "
