ULTIMATE M65 SHOWDOWN

i want an m65 or m65 variant, but to avoid arguing i want 4 pockets on the chest and a hood, has to come in black, beige or green. there were many contenders but now we're left with the strongest

Image

+ looks boss as fuck
+great price
+comes in a load of colours
+nice price
+mother fucking stone island
-bit dull?
-is it really a spring jacket?

tried this on irl and it was lovely, great amount of pockets and a slight shimmer

http://www.flannels.com/stone-island-mi ... e=69680903

Image

+looks boss as fuck
+has that 70's skiier look about it
+3L shell
+quite unique
+comes in a tactical black or green
-bit pricey
-it is sweaty shell
-buying a £550 shell and it not having slings or pockets which break my phone? 2015?

outsider as a whole, but tenc as a brand is something that interests me as their website is like history class

http://www.flannels.com/ten-c-snow-smoc ... e=69792516

Image

+looks boss as fuck
+has fucking goggles
+wanted a black one for barrrreeeeeeeeeee
+quite unique
+great weight
-bit pricey
-have one
-no watch viewer

saw this seasons and they look fucking ace, really nice cut to them and the material is great, the guy trying it on looked all kinds of 8)

http://www.endclothing.co.uk/catalog/pr ... ategory/5/

other decisions include

will i actually wear a black coat in summer?
does it matter as i have other jackets?
how water resistant does it have to be before i start regretting it in a downpour?
why do m65's look so shit in pics and great on the body?

usually when i talk aloud about what i want it makes me want to buy nothing and wallow in consumerist shame so lets all hope that happens but as for now m65 is life.

To talk about the ones you posted:

Don't like the buttons on the stoney one, is the tenc one even an m65 really without a stand collar?, and yeah the cpc is a lot like what you already have.

I need a pair of black, probably slim or skinny pants that'll go well with my leather jacket.

My issue is that I'm trying to avoid denim (I'll work with Julius knit denim though).

I want something without too many strange details. Mostly trying to avoid extreme J-legs and cargo pockets, I think.

MA_Julius. Wool 70%, Cupro 30%. I'm afraid of these being too "suit-y"

Julius Angora 67%, 33% nylon. Same issue with above.

BBS 100% cotton. Strings can be hidden. Possibly good deal, though I'm not too fond of the brand in general (personal). P11 cut.

Julius 60% cotton, 40% nylon. They say it's black, but not too sure how much to trust them... A bit of a curved leg.

Julius 100% bamboo. A bit jodhpur-y?

I'm generally open to suggestions. I'd rather not go above the $180 I have in my PayPal account, but I can probably go to about $250. If my stuff sells, I'll have more money to spend... but let's say 180-250. Brand doesn't really matter if the cut/materials are nice and not denim.

78-79 cm waist is optimal.

THE GREAT SNEAKER HUNT

I can't decide what kind of sneaker I want. I think I definitely want to go w NBs but there are a few tempting abibas and saucony models out there too. price limit is ~$150. would like opinions on the pairs in this album/suggestions for cool ones I didn't include:

I voted for the first, but what's wrong with a pair of "boring" skinny black denim as "go to" pants

considering jettisoning my no-cop for these boots—

+ the "black and petrol"/"burnished deep jade" color is incredible*
+ i've worn low combat boots like these for 3 years now and feel really comfortable with the silhouette
+ hidden laces are quite cool
+ low block heel, thank goodness, i don't do high heeled boots
+ (edit) thinks they're cool

– how much of a concern should versatility be?**
– do the flaps look weird if they're not secured down?

fashion friends, please advise!

yeah they're really nice, a true unstructured shape and seem to have a wider range of fabrics than barena. can't tell what that is from the pic but i prefer the heavier wools, gives the garment a bit more solidity and drape. sizing seems to vary quite a bit, the AW one i bought in jan was TTS, but i tried a summer-weight pique model last year that ran at least a full size small.

I need help finding a nice pair of slim lightwash denim. A little over a year ago I had a perfect pair of levi's 511 in the sung blue colorway but I lost them sadly when I moved. I have tried a few other pairs recently and they have turned out to both be just a waste of money. First I tried a pair of 511's from urban outfitters because the levi's site didn't seem to have any decent light wash options. http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/ca ... +RESULTS#/ This unfortunately turned out to be more of a loose fit than most of my 511's and the stonewash looks pretty terrible in person.
Then I tried these from J Crew Factory in the blasted indigo colorway https://factory.jcrew.com/mens-clothing ... ted-indigo and they are again too loose and the color wasn't very nice in person.

So what would you all suggest?

In need of a new backpack, old one is unusable. Can't think on it for too long either, I have to carry my books around at school somehow. Budget is around or under $100.

Fjallraven sent me a 50% code, which I'd use on another Kanken (laptop, 17", 20L). I'm going to credit the zipper breaking to a random mishap. $110, but $55 with the code.
Image
+worked just fine for me before
+comfortable size
+works well with my clothes
-boring
-everybody has one

Also considering:
Patagonia Arbor (26L). $99
Image
+plenty of room for books/laptop
+more interesting than the Kanken
-larger than what I'm used to
-not sure if it'll go well with my clothes

Open to other ideas as well, but again, the sooner the better. Not liking a lot of what I've seen with that budget in mind. Needs to be water-proof, able to hold text books and a laptop, and fairly minimal.

My 501's STF finally blew through in the crotch. I've had this issue with many jeans. Do jeans come with gussetted crotches? I can't take the heartbreak of losing favorite jeans anymore... I have some gussetted pants that picked out for me that are amazing but would love denim pantalones too.

Alright so I'm in love with my somet 030 its probably the best fitting denim ive ever owned (even better than properly sized apc ps)

BUUUTTTTTT the inseam is only like 32" so it doesnt stack as much as id like. What I'm looking for is suggestions for skinny fit denim with long inseam (pref like 36") that would give me sick stacks. Should I just cop another pair of APCs or is there something else to look at?

Balmain bikers on sale/used perhaps?

Anyone tried the Uniqlo Miracle Air jeans? I'm after some light wash denim to wear with my OL rainbow jacket and this wash looks pretty good.

Image

Although it's skinny tapered and if they're anything like the black skinnies I have they'll be too skinny for what I'm after. The fit in the OL product photo is probably the slimmest I want to go but they're £££££:

Image

I'm after something like the 511 fit I guess but Levi's have that UK markup (and no good washes online) and if I'm paying that much I may as well find something better. Anyone know anything like what I'm after? The wash should be pretty consistent, not big ass thigh fadez.

They look nice but they're like £165, I'm looking at around £80 max if I can.

What do we think of these LVC 660 jeans? Anyone know what the fit is like?

, I tried out that exact pair and it seemed to fit fine - my thighs are far from 'swole' but at ~23" they're substantial enough to not fit in a lot of skinny jeans.

Funny enough, I tried the indigo pair which were definitely too tight. Think that light wash material is stretchier.

Want to get a trucker jacket but I can't decide on the wash. Levis has a medium stonewash that looks sweet, but it's not as ^#*((authentic))*#^ as the "raw" one If I had the $$$ for a raw trucker I'd totally go the 3sixteen type 3 or something, but atm I'm torn between "authenticity" and looking cool.

i had this dilemma with my jackets. Ended up getting both a lightwash and a dark denim jacket but sold the dark denim. didnt like the way it looked with everything i wore. and decided faded, light wash or whatever looks way cooler.

go for levis medium stonewash imo. It will take forever for a raw jacket to look faded but who cares if you faded it yourself or not

if you want dark, i say go black
