i have a US army PT shirt 3 sizes up (mens L) that fits like that pic when folded/tucked/artfully manipulated to hide the ridiculous length on me
Image
it's a real comfy heavyweight 50/50 cotton poly blend. you can google shirts like that and size up

orrrr if you want you can have this for $freee! army is not me and i have too many clothes that are just taking up space atm...... sleeves might still be too big at ~6.5" and length is ~30"

Think the difference between millenials and gen Xers is not having a mortgage or using snapchat but actually whether you think visible logos on clothing are acceptable (millenial) or not (gen X)

Wanting to wear stoney but not being willing to be seen with the badge on is strong self flagellation.

If the view of the brand where you live is that negative (due to a history of problems with casuals or whatever) you just shouldn't bother

What's self flagellating about not wanting to be a conspicuous consumer or do free advertising for global mega corps?

Stutter heim is not even in the same genre as tech fashion. Vinyl or whatever raincoats are about as anti tech as rain wear can go.

Visible branding is fine if it's actually a design element and not just thrown onto thrift store clothes willy nilly. Talking about supreme here.

If i bought a stone island coat id take the badge off AND id cut the badge buttons off. No reason for it to be there

I'm personally more partial to glassing than nutting, but to each his own I suppose.

Agree tho, why buy stoney at all if you're not willing to wear the badge

why buy a box logo hoodie if youre going to cut the logo out

why buy a cp company jacket if youre going to rip the goggles off

bought these "sneakers with concealed laces" from zara and i really like them
Image
knowing zara though, they will probably fall apart soon. does anyone know of similar chunky minimal white sneakers? having the concealed laces would be cool too. i know margiela has a low top future sneaker which i also like but they are not as chunky and the laces are concealed all the way. or better yet, does anyone know which sneakers "inspired" these zaras?

Uniqlo U wool blend jacket?

Image

A bit pricey but I like that it's big and outerweary. Not sure about look.

Also watching this tweed jacket, supposed to be a Japanese XL, but the measurements are closer to a British M, shoulders are fine but chest is slim. Did the seller measure wrong or does a Japanese XL fit even slimmer than a British L?

yeah, its 48 my regular size, feels like its supposed to be a bit oversized, also looks better in motion etc. but still, i agree it's definitely 'off'. would help if there was some way to fasten the 'underlap' lapel, most DB coats have at least a button.

anyone handled any disaeran? i know its acronym-lite/ united arrows, just wondering if it seemed ok quality-wise. this might fill the rain jacket spot, i like that it's not black or too stylised.

thinking about veilance field jacket..
http://veilance.arcteryx.com/product.as ... -IS-Jacket

is it a proper winter jacket? (I need something more for spring/autumn. perhaps the mionn would be better?)
is it a bit normcore?
would get the 3/4 length coat but the only colour i like for any of these is olive, not a fan of black outerwear.

That field jacket is insulated, so I would think it more of a proper winter jacket? (I've never touched it so don't know for sure) I have an insulated m65 (aspesi) that I go on about constantly (love it) but also haven't even taken out of summer storage yet (it's still t-shirt + softshell weather) veilance do make non insulated versions, they have no IS suffix to them. I think they would be more adaptable to autumn/spring (you can wear a big jumper underneath for deep winter or a thin jumper or whatever)

I'm not privvy to your personal definition (derogatory?) of normcore. I think that's still recognisably an M65 and is something I'd describe as "preppy" or maybe "techy" I think normcore would be more like... a patagonia torrentshell anorak (shout out to the pacific north west shout out to owning a kayak but never using it shout out to midldebrow return to nature narratives that you employ as a defence against your life spent in front of a screen and a slightly larger screen)

Personally find the "minimalist" design on almost all Veilance products looks the same as when I try to make minimalist tumblr themes by going through a normal theme and changing all the colours to monochrome and all the fonts to Arial. (exceptions for some of the blazers and the trousers with the ankle fasteners)

Pirx I've tried on the insulated one and it's just so stellar, absolutely unbelievable. Would suggest trying it on (somewhere in London must stock Veilance right?) in person.

In terms of ~appearance~ I'd say that it's not normcore, it's closer to just Normal. But it also is hugely technical so you can swing that way if you prefer (please, honestly. i would kill to see you in some p9s and a veilance shell).
