can small guys actually wear dropcrotch anything? I'm only 5ft6 and any time I try anything medium rise or more it looks silly and I don't think I've seen any good inspo around either

Look at snowmanxl from SF, he's quite short but does a lot of proportion play with his fits. Often seems to incorporate heavy taper to add dynamic to what could otherwise be an admittedly stumpy silhouette.

Is there a special way to put on side zips? People have been telling me that it's super simple but it takes me more time to put on side zip sneaks than a normal sneaker.

hmmmmm...

Should i sell my blue chambray button down or cut off the collar to make it a mandarin / mao collar?

I have an OL chambray from a few years ago... nice fabric but i've hardly worn it as i hate button downs.

nah don't do it, easy way to ruin/regret once that stops trending, better off just selling it.

I'd suggest doing anything but let it continue to chill in your closet :0)

I cut the collar and cuffs off an old uniqlo shirt and quite like how it looks buried under a crew neck. but I never cared too much for to begin with

Hmmmmm decisions decisions. I've always preferred mandarin collars so it's not a trend thing for me. But i wouldn't want to ruin a good shirt and be left with something that looks a bit shit and could no longer sell / move on.

I guess i'm already thinking about spring / summer and what's in my wardrobe and thought that this shirt would be quite cool without the collar.

what happened to your dana lee shirt?

Can a tailor taper the leg of a pair of cargo pants or do the pockets/construction make that difficult?

^ I think it would depend on if one of the seams are uninterrupted by pockets and patches and stuff. I believe most tailors avoid messing with flat-felled seams too. If there is a plain seam that's uninterrupted I think they could do it.

what would you wear if you were to go on a weekend outdoors/walking/hiking. nothing too serious, mainly trails and a little scrambling. if i have to just get a dedicated hiking boot thats fine, just want to know if theres something that doesn't look too obviously outdoorsy.

depends on the terrain teck but you could get away with a trail runner no problem I'd imagine unless its seriously rough.

IMO, it's not hard to get away with really simple shoes even in tough terrain. I've hiked in zion's, arches, goblin valley, really tough downclimbs all in 7$ slip on shoes from walmart. It gave the barefoot feel without getting burnt feet from hot rock/cut on rocks/etc.

Unless you're looking for a fashun shoe I'd just hit up REI and have the SAs help you pick.

Can anyone tell me what to look out for when trying out jeans, in terms of quality control? I'm told Levis are great as long as you make sure the jeans are in good shape, and I don't really feel like paying an extra ~$150 for some APC jeans (unless you guys think they're worth that?).

I already own some 510's that I love, but I need some black pants.
