how can I repair my jeans? here's how they look on the inside

while there isn't a hole there yet, the weft yarns are very worn out.
i could darn it but it's quite a big area (10cmx5cm) so i dunno.
maybe?

the denim doctor has rave reviews on fuk if you want them fixed with minimal cosmetic changes, they do this technique where they sew another layer of thread to reinforce or patch a whole, while colour matching the thread. you could see if anyone offer's this in france?

The best thing you can do to reinforce it would be to go back and forth over the area with a sewing machine. Personally I'd wait for an opening before I did anything.

[vimeo]http://www.vimeo.com/55944005[/vimeo]

Never really looked into the Denim Doctor but I clicked the link and saw the above video. I don't know where he got his doctorate but the things he's saying are the kinds of rubbish parroted on raw denim enthusiast forums. Just to be clear - selvedge denim isn't better quality. A selvedge line isn't a hallmark - you can get selvedge denim made by children in poor working environments for under a dollar, and non selvedge denim that costs hundreds pm. Selevedge denim isn't magic.

Also, he extols the virtues of a chain stitched hem with a clip of him sewing and showing off a hem that is NOT chain stitched.

Unsuccessfully asked this elsewhere.

Any ideas where I can get tees similar to this one Robert Geller's wearing?

Depending on what the weave is like it might be ok-good at resisting light rain.

Unless they mention dwr or some sort of membrane it's not going to be waterproof

does anyone have any idea what a size 16 men's jacket could be referring to? there's a listing on ebay I'm interested in and I'm 99% percent sure it's a men's jacket but the size is listed as 16. It's a Schott jacket, and I already own one with a similar tag but that one is sized at 44 so I am very confused.

Here's the listing in question:

edit: upon further inspection of the buttons rather than looking at it on my phone, it is a women's jacket and i wouldn't be caught DEAD wearing girl's clothes!!! ew!!!!!

Need advice on socks. What's a good, reasonably priced sock?

I'm looking for solid colour predominantly, rich colours most preferably, but also want black socks too.

Any suggestions?

Nevermind, I just bought $40 in Uniqlo socks and called it a day.

But now I'm on the hunt for interesting denim. Ideally I'm looking for a side pocket denim pant with a brown or green warp and a white weft, but I doubt it's around.

Anything in earth tones or really washed out / pale colours is interesting, has to be at the least slim though, wide trousers make me look ridiculous.

Do brands even do traditional denim with warps that aren't indigo?

How does one "analyse" a runway show etc? Like let's say Raf Simons releases a new runway show that is totally independent of his previous influences and prior acquired knowledge on him is "useless" in understanding what he was aiming for in that season ie you have no primer for the show. How do you tell what the hell is going on short of him telling us about it? Does it become fandom guesswork with wildly varying opinions?

i'm looking for black jeans that will stack well

http://i.imgur.com/RQM6Wbt.jpg

I actually like how those pants fit me but I'm searching for jeans that don't fit quite as skinny and stack well. I assume for stacking I would need a 36 inseam, in the picture I'm wearing 34!

Where should I start looking? Just pointing me in a direction would be plenty helpful!
