Anybody have any experience with OL off courts? I've been thinking about getting white leathers but was concerned about quality/sizing. I'm a 41-42 in CP and 9.5-10.5 in vans/nikes. Any input would be appreciated.

basic laundry question incoming: is a 'dry clean only' care label a strict rule or merely a suggestion?

i mean, its not a suit jacket or anything it's just a cotton t-shirt, it should be fine on a cold/delicate wash, right?

i might just assume it's the manufacturer trying to cover themselves, like those coffee cups that warn me of the hot liquid within

If it's just cotton turn it inside out, set the machine to 30 hand wash, salute and go forth.

Next time ask yourself why you're buying a dry clean only t shirt.

So I bought a pair of derbies from Barny Nakhle and after about a week of wear, the soles started to peel off. So I already returned them and they repaired it. I just want to know whether this happened because it's not properly welted or it's not welted at all?

yea, the stitching i think connects the upper and mid soles. The nails are there to hold this piece of leather over the soles.
It's good to know that some high end brands use glue construction as well. Could you tell me which other brands uses glued construction?

I'm pretty sure that stitching the midsole to the welt / upper and then gluing the sole on is standard procedure for crepe soles, wedge soles and the like.

Looking at leather button up shirts. Think I (17" shoulder, 36" chest) could fit into one that's 43 cm shoulder (16.9") and 48 cm chest (18.9")? Or think I need to look for 44/49?

Muji linen drawstring pants in size small are fairly huge must be something like 32 waist but it can pull down to a 28 or 29 (my size). They are also extremely long at 34 inch inseam even after the first wash. I don't have linen shirts but I have a flannel and that fits v boxy and short. Love the pants though, I wear them a lot. Super baggy at first but they shrink a lot in the wash since they're 100% linen.

Anyone got recs for a shawl collar cardigan, in brown, grey or olive, that uses a thinner yarn, so it can be worn under a jacket? Haven't seen anything from John Smedley, and Inverallan/Howlin by Morrison/etc are all too bulky - looking for something like this EG number

'normal nike' is actually super bad to use as a sizing reference in my experience - in various trainers and runners throughout the years ive varied from like size 10 to size 11.5. doesn't help that everything has different soles and upper materials (flyknit, leather, cotton etc)

i'm the same size in 3's and 1's as i am in vans if that helps, same size as i am in BBall highs.

How does one dress professionally for a job in NYC summer? I'm heading over from California so I'm accustomed to dry heat, but I've never experienced heat with 90% humidity and rain.

The job is in fashion as well, so there's some possibility to wear cool garms and not only a suit.

I've got some derbies on the way I'm going to get resoled with crepe for a creeper sole. How tall should I go? The original George Cox were 3.5 cm or so, aim for that or go a bit shorter?

Do any of you have any garment racks recommendations? I'm moving into an room that is quite tiny (8' by 11') and I'm wondering if a garment rack is the way to go as most of my clothes are hung up, in garment bags etc.

I'm not sure if I'd ever be interested, but how do visvim shoes fit? If I were to ever buy a pair I'd probably grab virgils or the folk boots. Size TTS?
