Linen is so awesome because you can just layer whatever you want and never overheat.

AS we all know menswear is 90% being able to layer excessively without looking like you're sweating.

I've been trying no cop (is it too late to join?).

its only been about a week or so but im surprised how much I've noticed having a bit of extra cash.

went to Tokio 7 and found some awesome shit but realized I really wanted them because it was more collectable pieces and not because i had a gap in my wardrobe.

i got a lil annoyed because as part of no cop i wanted to dress more simply but then thought 'oh i really need some black t-shirts then' but that would break no cop AKFJEWFJLGGLK$

When you live in a capitalist world and you stop buying stuff, do you continue to exist?

Does getting tattoos count as cops?

teck, what sort of tat?

Does it count as a cop if you don't really spend any money on it? I had like $30 in Twice credit so I bought a pair of black J Brand skinny jeans. (They are technically a neutral color though.)

That said, I also faced my own mortality when I just got them since the waistband was tight enough to give me a bit of stomach flab. I think they'll stretch out with wear, although I think I also need to go do crunches or something.

if the money you're saving from not buying clothes is paying for that tat then it's a win in my book.

Sorted out my closet since my mother's visiting, realized that I don't wear over 70% of it. In fact, upon seeing my pile of clothing my roommate said, "I don't think I've seen you wear most of these."

Selling things is such a hassle though.

Donate them. I try to donate stuff because it's less hassle and makes me feel more aware of how much money I'm wasting.

went to Tokio 7 this weekend. i usually end up going on Fridays after work because my GF has a late shift and I have a few hours to myself. Found some real interesting CDG and yohji pieces. tried them all on.

but didn't buy anything.

I say hold out for another week then you'll have done the month.

But if you jump, don't convince yourself that you did a no cop. If I've ever made a mistake it was convincing myself that I was constantly no copping whilst buying whatever I wanted. If you're going to do some sort of "less cop" you have to set yourself a hard budget per/time and stick to that. It's no good being on a "No cop until I see something I really want" that's just kidding yourself.

I actually haven't bought anything and I don't feel that different, minus occasionally wearing something and thinking "this could be much better if I had X."

cop freeze is getting a pain in the arse, just looking at stuff and going 'well that really isn't a lot and quite justifiable' trouble comes when you start saying that about 2/3 things and that £60 one off has turned into £180 over the month.

made even worse by the fact i spent the other day watching 'the real football factories' and listening to kasabian intensifying want for some sambas and a brightly coloured parka. #holdstrong #onemonthin #youarestrongandbeutiful

Congrats all who've made it to the 24th. That's another successful cop freeze month. Two different chesterfields that had been sitting in the Jigsaw online store at bargain prices suddenly disappeared at some point this month which sort of makes me sad. I dunno.

Anyway who is up for the next round of no cop club from oct 24th to nov 24th?

The sudden £200 discount on http://www.yoox.com/uk/41349608PN/item? ... N&sizeId=2 is giving me pause.

I thought I would break my cop freeze, but I actually haven't bought anything it was nice. I need some winter clothes: otherwise I would go another round.

I'm sticking to the no cop for the next month who is with me? Good time to no cop. If you do November December you'll have the funds to hit the January sales hard
