is Adidas SLVR going under? all the NYC locations are gone. I get the impression it's being quietly phased out

I think I have to resell my DD side zips. I have high arched feet and these shoes are pretty tight.

Better Off Dead is the best John Cusack movie.

Would also recommend: Phil Collins.

The idea that the best John Cusack movie is not either Adaptation or Grosse Pointe Blank is erroneous.

ben should watch GPB for some fashion inspo if he has't already.

As odradek points out, John Cusack was not in Adaptation and I meant Being John Malkovich.

Point still stands.

Also why did I write "fashion flintstone" instead of "fashion inspo" ?

does anyone have any 'care' tips for prolonging the collar, armpits and cuffs of light shirts?

after about 18 months, the collar of a thom ocbd looks scuzzy as f. I still wear it under sweaters but it is harder to enjoy it.

at about 4 years, I gave a old gray uniqlo ocbd an overnight bleach soak and I was pretty heavy handed with the bleach. in the morning it came out pink, but the pit stains remain, now a sickly brain-grey color.

if bleach can't cure it, can anything? whinefields has put me onto the ivy tradition of having a tailor reverse and resew the collar. but I don't know how well this would work, I don't know if you could reverse the collar band (this is usually the worst offender), I don't know if you can reverse the cuffs, I don't know many tailors that skilled and generally it seems like a low effort:return ratio.

at this point I think I will stop investing in lighter colored 'baller' shirts. which is a shame because blue and white ocbds are the king and queen of ocbds, and it's very rare/impossible to find all the right details on a button down without spending around 200$ retail. this might be a little snobbish but I could never go back to wearing a uniqlo caliber collar after being used to bb, gbv, and thom browne.

can anyone enlighten me on shirt care?

PTO did a thing about this http://putthison.com/post/441812762/cleaningshirts

I've tried it before, it works super well.

I heard ALU in anti perspirant causes stains.

I think a solution is to have ten or twenty shirts so that none of them get that much wear.

Funny how frayed collars are cool but stained ones aren't

I haven't any heavily worn oxford cloth shirts but with my dress shirts i find an undershirt mostly keeps things ok and when the collar starts getting stained I use a pre-wash soap scrub on it which seems to help a bit. Doesn't keep it completely clean though for sure.

the human body is just a greasy tube constantly excreting vile oils. my pits are portals from which unpure bile spills, transported from the teat of a whore-demon. that's what i've learned from wearing suits. its one of the reasons why i've stopped wearing a lot of tb.

i'd love to do the PTO thing just because i love the satisfaction of getting something clean.

I find Tom's antiperspirant to be really effective at preventing pit stains.

Sounds like they're just normal suits with a Thom Browne label. But, whatever, I'll still probably check it out. Thom's gotta make that paper and realistically most designers make all their money through diffusion labels. I mean how many shrunken suits can you justify buying?

Doesn't BBBF still have slightly exaggerated proportions though?

I like Thom. I'd probably check these out if I need a suit at some point soon.
