supposedly they make like the nicest, plushest cashmere. at least that's what i have read on styleforum. they had a cardigan last season that had an rrp of $3,500 on mr porter.
here is a similar one to what you linked:
apparently it is hand-dyed, which explains some of the cost, i suppose.

because of who's showing or just bc of general existential malaise?

mostly because of who's showing, there are perhaps five shows altogether i am/was looking forward to. the amount of people showing is also so high that whereas at say paris i'll look at every show, whether i'm that interested or not, at NY i really can't be arsed to go through 25 shows every day, and (i guess somewhat counter-intuitively) i end up looking at only a couple of shows. They really ought to do the men's shows when everyone else does.
Also NYFW seems to bring out the worst people judging by the streetstyle photos i've seen... what's it like walking around NY atm?

NYFW is definitely the weakest of the major fashion weeks. I was thinking that might be why HBA gets so much attention, because they're one of like 5 designers at NYFW that aren't just doing upscale j.crew.

I realized that if my postmans were suede or rough out leather I would wear them a whole lot more. I'm thinking of spray painting them matte black or spraying them with Plasti Dip. Would that be a terrible idea?

I never wear my postmans, I don't think they fit with my lifestyle really. I like all these ideas. Also thought of resoleing them with a wedge.

went to nyfw for work. went to lincoln center. it was a beautiful morning and that was probably the best part of the whole thing.
it's what you'd think it's like. lots of photographers milling about. it's interesting to watch the social ecosystem. everyone is sort of hyper aware of either being a photographed or being a photographer. you get the sense that there are people who have no business at all at FW and are just walking purposefully through the plaza looking at their phone waiting to be "discovered"**
once a photographer stops a person, it's a feeding frenzy. It's piranhas. The subject has stopped moving and is posing so now all photographers in a 10M radius run over and shoot.
Then it's back to the awkward standoff. zebras. lions. more milling about. looks and looking.
somewhere, a bird puts on a cardigan.
**I should know, i did this.

some photographers took pics of me (i was wearing my big cdg parachute pants, yohji shirt and blazer, postmans, hat [basically the fit i had from my WAYWT from a few weeks back]). i havent seen any pics of me floating around tho.
its definitely strange. it's a bubble. one moment its all glamour and then you walk a block away and you're back in a subway stop wearing big pants.

seeing him in rick freaks me out. also he cut his awesome quaff. i always thought that nick had sort of his own style (yea heavily influenced by the thom silhouette but he put together patterns and colors no one else would do) and now its like shit even nick is subject to ASAP, what hope do us mortals have?

he used to be a buyer for bergdorf and men's director at neiman. now he's just like an internet fashion goof that's parlayed that into a bunch of positions at various companies.
just found this:
ugh
