not going to pretend like i had any clue what was up when i was out there, but doublet was pretty cool when i saw it. probably some other stuff that was interesting that i glazed over.
also teatora is ideal. if i had the budget i would have bought a set right then and there, but pants + jacket would have been well over 60,000 JPY @ beams
so not yet.

Auralee and comoli are very popular. Polo is huge.
It actually seems that due to the reach of Instagram and such a lot of the influence has reversed direction and now japanese guys are copying ny skaters.

Love wearing clothes that I can get for cheap in the US that fit my vague, instagram addled idea of "cool in Japan "
As far as new brands I like Baku Corona and comfy outdoor garnent. Best way to find new brands is probably following stores I guess?

its interesting becasue he was Higaonna Sensei student and a different "Line" of his teaching...
you dont find much info toon-ryu or Kyoda Sensei .. so any further info much appreciate.

Japanese second hand stores have codified clusters of brands.
Auralee, digawel, comoli etc is one
Then there’s like beams, United arrows, yaeca
Local designers (Facetasm, kolor, sacai etc)
Then repro and street wear.
