what is the significance of isolated heroes? i'm intrigued by fashion flaxy and i don't know the first thing about it

Arranged for a hair appointment on sunday, I've a friend who does it cheaply and is more open to listening to what I actually want rather than ignoring everything I say. Think I'm going to shave off the sides and back of my hair and keep the top long, maybe slicked back.

In the midst of growing my hair out now. It's so painful especially bc I don't even know if it will look good once its grown.

I've dropped into a stable hair routine. Every four weeks go on a wednesday night to the sort of overpriced barber, hopefully get the same girl again, ask for the sides to be trimmed with scissors to just above my ears and for hardly anything to be taken off the top. Then wait about 3 days, take a shower, towel dry, whilst still damp smear some v05 wax into it. repeat.

Having hair that can be relied upon to do something after you take a shower is very precious to me.

Self inflicted hair cut

Argh my hairdresser texted and cancelled on me today - have a full day planned with friends and a birthdays meal planned early in the week and now have to endure it with this awful grown-out mop on my head. On the scale of things that matter it doesn't rank but I was quite looking forward to my new cut.

Today i walked all the way to the barbers only to discover it's closed. Looks like i'm going to have to get an expensive london haircut now drat.

RycePooding i think you should continue to grow yr hair out, get some non-shiny wax and really milk yr current slightly wild/windswept hair for all it's worth, take it into out of control maniacal prof. territory

yeah keep them relatively short but don't go too extreme, you don't want to look like mackelmore and with more length on the sides you can be more versatile with styling: slick it down, or back, or just let your hair's natural tendencies dictate where it lies and use a bit of product to stop it from wilting as the day goes by, or whatever
