seeing huhwot's pics / listening to him describe it has got me kinda wanting to sell my lm&c leather (sheep) and buy a used toj (calf). will develop a better looking patina imo.
my mind is never made up

Not as severe as some in this thread, but I like looking down to see this sometimes.

OG GATs that have been with me for ~18 months. Demoted to lifting shoes ~3 months ago. Discovered that they weren't structurally sound anymore yesterday, :(

repost from hat thread. This has been with me for years and on many outdoor adventures. Permanently smells like shit because I wore it backpacking for thirty consecutive days on two separate occasions with no bathing.

Reeboks spotted in English class. Maybe not the best image quality, sorry, but they've aged quite well.

Purcells have been demoted to concert/bad weather shoes. Worn regularly (every other day) for about 14 months. Threads loose (a lot on the heels), edges splitting, cracked/peeling leather, soles tearing, etc.

Guidis after six months, a couple hikes, and new heels. This thread is the truth. Needs more leather jackets tho
http://toj-gallery.com/main.php?g2_itemId=10024(though really all the toj galleries are full of good examples of this stuff)
but Brad-t might have the most beautifully worn in toj leather of all time

How are you liking those? All the reviews say they're heavy as shit (not sure if I would care/notice) and generally not great, but I still want some

lavers are not heavy, they are in fact very light for a shoe with such a stacked sole (compared to AF1)
they beat up so nicely. the suede gets destroyed really quickly, the technical canvas will age with time and the white calf along the laces will stay squeaky clean.
