To be honest, I hate care tags. I hate being poked in the side by some long polyester label, I'd prefer if everyone just screen printed their labels like Outlier:
I do like BoO and Black Fleece's labels though:
Dior:
Incotex

counterpoint to screenprinted labels: my og dungarees
furthermore I hate tags like those BBBF tags where a nice durable woven material is stuck to a piece of paper. PRPS, engineered garments, comme da garcon etc
the grosgrain waistband on those incotex is beautiful. dior care labels printed on that silky fabric are also quite nice. i almost picked up a bee polo yesterday, had a lustrous silk caretag with extra buttons sewn on and Dior printed fat in the middle. head and shoulders above most brands of that price point and stature.

Yeah I don't like the paper part of the BBBF tag, I guess I was referring to the grosgrain label.
I was at the Dior store yesterday, yeah the craftsmanship and sewing on Dior stuff is just incredible. Super lux but damn $700 for a shirt is a lot.
How do you all feel about woven vs printed brand labels? Personally I like printed labels because they look cleaner and crisper to me but they don't last forever like wovens. For example the BoO is printed vs the Incotex which is woven. Let's assume I'm not talking about tags that are printed on paper like thom browne and will wash out in 3 washes.

I love looking at the inside of incotex trousers. It's so fucking obvious where your money has gone.
Was wearing W+H trousers today. Boy do I have no idea where that money went.

undercover is in good company with other luxury brands like margiela and thom browne, producing crap tier paper labels. (these labels should come with their own care labels because they usually hold up worse for ware after washing than the garment itself)
however, I like to imagine the Engrish is intentional

I really like this one even though it's all papery and crackled
probably the nicest care-tag I've seen
good thick canvas
screenprinted care-tag washed 25+ times and hasn't faded at all (that's just the design)

for his men's autumn 2003 collection, "place/non-place" hussein chalayan was inspired by airports and travelwear
each garment invited the purchaser to meet at heathrow airport the following year
one person showed up
