My favorite is my old Sierra West mountaineering jacket. One of the first coats to use Gore-Tex. Best part is the hidden interior passport pocket.

a while ago i thrifted this denim jacket with a cotton lining and elastic ribbing (i think is the term i'm looking for? correct me if wrong) and it makes a great airport jacket



one on each arm


two on each side of the jacket



and one on the inside left

Just picked up this EG Andover (thanks !). Haven't yet traveled w/ it, but I think it'll be great. A total of 7 pockets (four exterior pockets and three interior). A mid-to-lightweight 93% wool, 7% cashmere, so it'll be good for airports that are heavy handed w/ air conditioning. Fully lined w/ polyester, so putting it on and taking it off at security is a breeze.

the best airport jackets have lots of pockets, are generally unstructured, and can be folded/tossed around and still look good. m65 type jackets and unstructured blazers like EG bedfords rule the roost, imo.
