I loooovvveeeee makeup.

Galliano at Dior always was amazing

aaliyah had the best 90's makeup

this girl has a blog at rodeo.net/killercolours - her makeup is beautiful and she has great taste in fragrance

I either wear no makeup or lots of it. I tend to favor dramatic makeup like super bright lipsticks, dramatic liners, heavy eyebrows, etc. My favorite lipsticks are MAC Lady Danger (orange based matte red), NARS Cruella (neutral darkened blood red), Wet 'n' Wild Cherrybomb (vampy purple-red), Maybelline Electric Orange (medium toned orange), and Revlon Cherries in the Snow (blue based hot pink). I have hooded eyes so it was hard for me to figure out how to do eye makeup for the longest time. I watched a video of Charlotte Tilbury demonstrating her "feline flick" makeup and I think I've finally found an eye makeup look I like:

here's a half face full of slap and half face without

I'm bummed that makeup isn't popular or commonly used where I live. Women tend to wear nothing or a tiny bit of mascara. Wish people would take more risks here! I'm glad that bright matte lips are back - the blue based baby pink/nudes of the early 2000s were truly awful. I eventually want to start learning how to do special effects makeup.

I have a casually enormous interest in cosmetics! I'd love to see "waywt: face edition"s from our members but I myself have reservations about posting my face so I totally understand if that initiative doesn't take off. But in an effort to widen the purpose of this thread to also include some OC, I thought I'd post pictures of my cosmetics collection (not including some miscellaneous bits and bobs)! I'd be super keen on seeing the collections of other members ( looking at you) too, so please post if yours if you'd like. JUST LET ME LIVE MY DREAM OF BEING A TRENDSETTER ALRIGHT

Let's get this show on the road. Click images for bigger versions.
Eye products:

Face products:

Lip products:

If you guys have any questions/comments about any of this stuff, I'd love to chat! I've actually reached that fabled nirvana state of contentment for makeup (which suggests it exists for clothing too...right??) so that makes me a pretty happy panda.

edit: My three most used are: maybelline's colour whisper in #50 cherry on top (top row, far left); kate moss for rimmel in #7 (second row, second from left); and clinique's chubby stick in #4 mega melon (the chubby stick in the middle). They're all pretty undramatic which make them nice for daily use. Those lines also have the best formulations.

Alright my collection is extremely weak since I didn't really start getting into makeup until this year, as previously to this skincare was my only one and true love. Although I started getting interested with the intent of making myself look nicer, recently I've become interested in collecting products with pretty packaging.

I forgot to include a handful of products but I'm too lazy to rearrange everything and retake the pictures. I sorta tried to list out product names. Also colors on the eyeshadows and lipsticks are off due to lighting.

Brows

Eyes

Lips

Face

I think I've hit the point where I feel like I have everything I need for my every day wear, so I'd like to maybe expand into maybe darker lipsticks or something.
I'm not particularly knowledgeable about makeup so far, but I'd like to do a WAYWT:face edition some day. Also if you have questions about any of the products or w/e I'd be really happy to talk about them.

i have never shared my makeup collection before so this kind of excites me/scares me because i didn't realize until now exactly how much lip products i had... a little excessive but i've definitely seen worse. apparently this is what i do at 3am. i'd do faces of the day but really my makeup doesn't change from day to day other than my lip colour. usually just keep it to face makeup, eyebrows, mascara, blush/bronzer/highlight and lipstick.

how do you like that bourjois and neutrogena foundations? i could always use more foundation, not that i really need any..

lipsticks

blushes

eyeshadows - don't use these much bc lazy

wow do i spy an hourglass ambient lighting blush and a mac msf?? yall into the dewy look?

ps that deep purple lipstick (third from left, bottom row) -- what is it? so intriguing.

re: foundations. I really like the neutrogena foundation, super versatile, can be sheer but also quite buildable coverage. it's pretty liquidy in consistency, like if you put some on your hand, it will run. (I would like to mention here that I use a setting powder and I love setting powders--they make such a difference for how the finish of your foundation looks.) the bourjois one is thicker and thus i think it's higher coverage, but it still doesn't feel heavy to wear. I think it looks a bit more matte than the neutrogena one, which comes off more natural. definitely would pick the neutrogena one for more daily wear, I usually save the bourjois one for occasions.
not sure if it's relevant, but I use a stippling brush. I love stippling brushes for foundations.

oh my god you guys I just got another lipstick the other day on a total whim (even though I told myself I wouldn't get more lipsticks...) and I love it. I humbly present:

that lipstick looks great! the one you asked about is milani sangria. i really like their lipsticks! i honestly prefer drugstore/mid end (mac) lipsticks over super expensive. cause who really wants to spend $40 on a lipstick. would rather have more for less $$, and drugstore makeup shopping is just so fun. every time i go to the states i go nuts at cvs and stuff. SO CHEAP!!! i love higher coverage foundations (all about dat flawless but still natural look~) so i should check bourjois out! heard good things about neutrogena one as well though. i just started using the beauty blender for foundations. worth it, i think! and the mac powder is actually highlighter!
