This is the full high rise in black linen, very drapey/swishey. Phone battery died before I could shoot the Vauxhalls but the look pretty normal if I'm honest, regular fit with a nice rise.

Old Town is MTO, so you pick a style and a size and a fabric. They have a selection on their site, with varying prices depending on what you want. Everything is really nice feeling. The cottons are marketed as "Tin House" and very competitively priced. I often feel people are lying when they say "Less but better" (good luck wearing one £300 pound shirt in place of six £50 ones) but the prices on offer make me think that you could very realistically transition from a uniqlo wardrobe to an old town one by buying one OT piece instead of your monthly 70 grab bag from the twin red squares.

Corduroy is from Yorkshire, linen is from Ireland, tweed is Harris. cotton is bought in from somewhere. I said "That's a shame." when the lady said that and she said something along the lines of: "Well, is it? Really?" and she was pretty much correct.

Cool list of menswear manufactured in the UK. Maybe STORY should get on it?

Why do UK brands make shirts with button down collars. It's bullshit.

i couldn't imagine a more crap marketing bit about ventile. no actual information about the weave or technology, a claim that it is waterproof, and no mention of the treatment that allows water to bead like that.

I like PWVC gear, but as a brand they might as well be Oliver Spencer.

That said I've been wearing my harrington all this week and it rules the schools.

Saw this shoe from Mamnick, looks a lot like Willam Lennon

Mamnick looks like one of those UK brands that carefully straddles the line between being balls to the wall STORY MFG style cool and Monocle Rapha Hitler Youth Tattoo Man With No Face And Wayfarers

christopher raeburn SS14 printed blazer

the jacket is made from a thick cotton which has been given a coating to make it irridescent with a olive/light green sheen then the lizard motif printed all over the fabric repeatedly. the body is lined with cotton and it has one inside chest pocket alongside the 2 outside flap pockets and the corresponding chest pocket, the sleeves are lined with a deep purple rayon. details include a double vent and no cuff buttons with the shoulders being padded slightly. made in england.

Double vent master race.

Your CDBs been doing excellent work lately innit maj. Wish they were suede though.

Think your drobe needs some general updating w/r/t shoes at the moment. Black derbies and suede dbs.

Mind expanding, personally the pattern not matching up is quite annoying to me so it's not perfect and the lapel is pretty flat. What's your view?

They wont be the same. I can attest to that. Also more than the 'MHL' name you're paying for MHL design and endorsement.

Solovair/NPS are incredible by the way.

Maybe interesting, uk workwear type jizz.

Sort of a bit saturated with it right now but I guess it's always nice to have options.

Most of her stuff is so generously cut that you might be surprised at how an xs fits. I've found shirts in xs that fit me and I'm certainly not x anything.

Funnily enough there was a chap there in full Thom. His head must have been doing cartwheels attempting sizing calculations. He was sweating profusely.

I bought some bits in Medium, so thanks Margaret for making me feel normal sized for once.
