Not mine but I'd be interested in building something like this as a summer project.

As a brown person who fries onions basically every day any sort of exposed wardrobe makes me want to cry. Esp because my kitchen is in my bedroom.
I want a hermetically sealed drobe.

Sounds like you need an apartment with more than one room

Slightly outdated in terms of items, but here is mine.
I got very lucky with the dorm design. Finally able to make the transition from shitty standalone cabinet thing with no room to this open-space plan.

Yeah. The building's like 40 years old or something so it's probably had its fair share of heavy shit on top of it. It's like that even when nothing's on it.

I really have to put some shoes away and do some laundry.

top rack (left to right): paper bag collection -> rarely worn pants -> occasionally worn pants -> white tees -> colour tees -> hoodies
rail (left to right): occasionally worn outerwear -> most worn outerwear -> yellow belt hanger -> somewhat colour-coordinated shirts -> need to donate/trash
shoes on stacked ikea shoe racks. holes = shoes are scattered around the room
most worn pants, backpacks, textbooks and notebooks underneath the pile
stack of clean laundry, clothes in the very corner are dirty

Couple months old. I've acquired new pieces since this.
Some sweaters, grey t shirts, oatmeal t shirts, blue, etc. 2 new pairs of navy pants, some new shoes, and a couple new jackets.
I need olive pants though. :0

I just throw my pants onto my cajón (which I can't play since you could hear your neighbor sneeze in the apartment I live in) and store the rest of my stuff in black plastic boxes.
Most of my current wardrobe is H&M, but there are a few nicer pieces I'm pretty happy with atm: the MUJI coat, the old beige Scottish cashmere sweater (super soft 80s!) and the whole-cut dress shoes.

Not sure if right place but how often you guys do a clear out of your 'drobes? Planning on doing one pretty soon, don't even know how shit piles up.

3 piles: keep, sell, donate. Could also do a trash pile (sorry ).
Also a fan of the marking clothes at the start of the season and if you don't wear it by the end of the season then you can't keep it. Obviously this excludes stuff like winter jackets and other seasonal stuff.

About every six months, but I try to sort through things on a regular basis and evaluate them. Staying conscious of what's in my wardrobe, anyway. I have way too many t shirts but that's all that I wear during the summer. :/

Outerwear and shoes, wherein I realised my colour palette could do with being expanded
Shocking wardrobe construction is caused 50% by the image stitcher I used and 50% by shocking wardrobe construction
