That video is so zeitgest that it actually feels really dated already.

What is going on here exactly with this partnership and are people happy with it in general?

i'm by no means an expert w/r/t Raf, but I found it to be a very nice collection. the "raf" stuff (print parkas and block text stuffs) was nice if nothing new and if sterling ruby brought anything to the collab, i thought the purely aesthetic content was a lot stronger than a typical raf show-- the paint splatter stuff, the patchwork coats, the knits. from a consumer standpoint the collection appeals quite a bit, moreso the gear where sterling's influence feels palpable than the "raf" stuff (I think the print/text coats would look very dated if they weren't so well designed/executed).

in retrospect the nylon yoga show was probably a little stronger or forward thinking in the ways people expect of raf simons, and probably my favorite show in the last 3 or 4 years. but RS/SR was definitely a lot of fun.

the way they are rolling out the limited gear on http://www.inthenameof.be is pure marketing but i have to admit to being totally charmed by it.

From AW2003-2004 - Closer collection with Peter Saville.

Very short jumper with a knitted pattern across the front (wonder if it's based on a Saville piece or not). Would be comically cropped on me except for the joy that is high-rise trousers.

hi everyone, i got my sweater! i didn't have a chance to put together a proper outfit but i grabbed some pictures before work
its the full sweatshirt poorly posed against my shower, the cuff, the interior of the cuff (which wasn't online and in a different color scheme) and the tag!



its a very tough cotton and i have a suspicion it's gonna fit a little tight because i have wide shoulders but it's pretty great
i know it's not the most exciting piece from the collection, but it WAS the cheapest one available and i loved the color
as well as the cuffs so life is ok
