also, what's with coats not having buttons these days (same with that studio nicholson). i get that it looks cool to have it whipping around in the wind but not so great when it's, y'know, cold

It's to honour the singular vision of the designer. Just like Phil Spector mixing in mono, Tomi Ahmed designs coats without buttons because "Why should the wearer have more control than the designer?"

He also expresses his disdain for the wearer by charging four figures.
