Jewellery thread! Post your precious jems, whittled rings, weird toy soldier necklaces, etc.

These are the two rings I wear daily, both are vintage. ^_^

this is tweedle dee and tweedle dum

silver one is off of etsy, had it since end of last summer i think? its one long piece of pliable metal that wraps around. was about $15.

the other is a $5 ring off amazon. i cant buy expensive jewelery cause i lose them way too often, therefore i have grown to love cheap rings like this. it wears nicely, and the top layer of metal spins around =]

Twist the paperclip into a spiral or something cool like that first though

Current everyday situation (apologies for image quality):

Cheap but pleasantly nice Peugeot watch with mother of pearl face (replaced the strap with an XS oiled leather one—fellow scrawny wrists, getting a properly sized strap is a revelation)

Grace Lee diamond and white gold ring:

Better Late Than Never lapis and silver studs:

If I wear a necklace, it's usually this vintage silver collar:

+ a few assorted stainless steel ear piercings

No, it's quite sturdy considering the daintiness of the design. Really pleased with it!

My friend's been wearing her MIT class ring on her ring finger. IDK if it's meant to be an allegory of her relationship with the school. But apparently it's a common thing to get a class ring there. Thank god my school does not have that sort of tradition because I hate wearing rings.

I think the AMT ring is really cool though. Never been really fond of stones in the first place.

Started wearing this, I think the story is it belonged to a guy my grandmother dated at some point, don't remember how I ended up with it.

slowly but surely saving up for this Satomi Kawakita white gold and diamond solitaire. reasons I love it:

- the organic-looking band is a pleasing reference to plant/tree imagery without being a literal stick design
- gem is rose cut, which doesn't sparkle as much as cuts with more sides
- it's like a larger size of my Grace Lee ring and it would please me greatly to wear them together, one on each hand

I've been thinking a lot about earrings lately. I wore tiny pearl studs every day for years (and I liked how they complemented the androgynous-preppy component of my wardrobe), but I recently bought some delicate silver studs, which I think will be more subdued/neutral for daily wear.

Does anyone have any pictures of cool earrings (and other types of ear jewelry)? Would be especially into seeing pictures of interesting hoops.

Personally, I've always really liked the idea of small, delicate flesh tunnels:

I think there's probably an interesting discussion to be had about the intersection of fashion and body modification, more generally.
