I really want to. My grandmas father back in Japan used to wear one so it would be really nice to make one with her help. If I find a good fabric I'll do it for sure and I'll make a thread about it that can also be used for any and all DIY stuff. It'll be a while though, gonna have to adjust to the college life and make time for it amidst all the craziness and schoolwork. We'll see!

Odradek violent blazer champion. Truly envied those linen trousers this summer. Does the crease stay that crisp during wear or are you ironing them everytime they get worn?
hharrissonn we play for keeps here. Something about that fit I'm a fan of but I can't put my finger on it. The black docs + jeans, then the railway looking jacket, then the beanie. I dunno.

hoggin this thread, apologies. promise i'll slow down now.
fun pic^ friend of mine hosted a music event in a barn with a lot of our more musically talented friends and he let me play a couple tunes.
that dana lee shirt is by far one of the best clothing purchases i've ever made too. ahhh i love it. the colors, the weight of the fabric, the softness, the slouchiness!

Is the jacket number nine?
I'm all about this look come winter. Though presumably I'll try and do it with all uniqlo.

Black Fleece except the D&G shirt.

Nice one tpaine, very austere and grim I like it.
Wish the shirt collar was more involved though - it's so tiny and curled. The tie knot doesn't seem to be sitting happily in it either.
Also some small shoulder divots going on there.
Shoes are looking great.

yeah syek, d&g shirt stands out but I guess in a super minor way that only fashion dorkbots are going to notice.
Like the turn ups.

Oh absolutely, quite right. But with the rest of the suit making quite a bold "statement" (perhaps more to non-dorkbots than us) the collar is a plaintive whimper by comparison.

Yeah I always have problems with dress shirts fitting my neck. I moved the top button to make it a little more comfortable but then it doesn't sit as neatly.
I guess I'm the only one here who likes tiny collars.

I like tiny collars, but maybe not with all TB. Where's your BRAND SYNERGY man?
I read that artic about the man wearing a TB suit for a week and he made it seem like a big deal, but the way you wear it doesn't seem like it is. Was he just overdoing it for the sake of the piece?
Rycey I like it in theory but in the picture at least there are some proportions issues for me.

short legs? I think I need to hem the shirt.

Well it's Black Fleece, so the proportions are a little less extreme. If it was TB the jacket would be an inch or two shorter and the pants about 3 inches shorter.
I'm also pretty short, so it looks more normal on me. I normally wear a 40S, so imagine someone who wears a 40L or 40R wearing a 40S and things start to look a little weirder.
