Anyone here had nasal surgery before? I'm a few days into recovery only being able to breath through my mouth and the defeated feelings when you run out of breath trying to eat a burger suck.

CALC! CONGRATS!

Picked up what I thought a bit of trash off the ground and it turned out to be an insect the size of a penny. I shrieked.

Didn't now I had it in me since I'm usually the one who kills bugs.

I'm trying real hard to be happy and not stressed around Christmas but it's hard right now. Got some shit going on at work that could affect my next year financially (for better or worse). I think I'm in a good spot because my designs were picked for 2 big projects but my boss has fucked me over before. He laid me off a week before Christmas 2 years ago with a week's notice (after working for him full time for 9 years). I was then asked to come back on a freelance basis a few days a week. I would have loved to tell him to go fuck himself but when you have kids you need to swallow your pride and do what you have to do to make money. So far it's worked out for the best but I'll see how the next few days play out.

On another front my father-in-law is a horrible human being. He's always had some redeeming qualities but he recently did some shady shit to my mom and I just can't trust him or respect him at all anymore. My wife acknowledges that he's a bad person and probably thinks less of him than I do. His wife (my mother in law) hates his guts and wishes he was dead. I wish he was out of our lives but we're stuck with him. It's hard to coexist with someone you dislike so much. on a surface level I can get along with him but there's always a simmering resentment and it's no good for me. At least he's good to my kids and they love him.

My work situation sorted itself out for the better! Huge relief. My father-in-law is still an asshole though.

Just got news that I'll be moving to Paris after the summer to continue my master's degree on exchange. It's going to be the first time I live outside a radius of 40 kilometres from Copenhagen and I somehow already feel like a little kid wandering off to 1st day at school.

Talk to them about it as a hobby. Everyone has things they're really into and maybe you'll get them to see it differently.

High school is v conformist but if people comment negatively on what I'm wearing or ask how much something cost (omg that much on shoes???) the usual answer is 'ok.' There's a huge taboo at least in America surrounding men who care about what they dress themselves in but confidence plays a big part in being accepted.

had the same problem with my friends but after a while they didn't care, a big part was the group of us have diverse interests we've developed as we've grown from first meeting so they see i treat what they care about with respect and they return the favor. i've just gotten very used to talking about videogames, tech, sport, music, comics ect i have little interest in, but if you make an effort people will too. also come to like their interests myself.

that said i crave to meet someone 'like me' where i can go, did you see that sick cos drop last night, those drawstring pants are crazy'.

I've only had one legit conversation about clothes. The rest were asking why I spend money on clothes. If people learned to see life from other's perspectives, we wouldn't have problems.

In other news, I'm applying for jobs so that's cool. Hoping to find some sort of writing job somewhere preferably close to home to save for a year or so. College went by too quick, so my friends and I are putting together a bucket list to do by the end of school. We have an optional section that includes illegal activities such as streaking around campus during tours (usually 10am-2pm). I can't believe real life is going to start soon, but I'm super excited to be on my own. Everything is getting surreal and I don't think I've ever been prepared to what I'm going to experience on my own. I have too many thoughts that I'm trying to work out about the situation and all I know is I'm excited.

If you want to have a conversation about clothes without people negging you then try talking about their clothes rather than your own. It's not the same kind of conversation you will get on the internet but it's not less valid because of that.

Also never tell people how much you spend.

So a few days ago I talked to my boss about how I wasn't getting any hours and he pretty much told me that they weren't really hiring any more people in front of house or anything and that it would probably be best if I looked for another job. So I go around to a bunch of places and get a couple offers for trials. The other day my boss asked if I could come in and help him with mailing out a bunch of gift vouchers, so I go in and do that for a few hours.

As I'm finishing, guess what I see? A 14 year old girl trialing as a runner. I've been asking for a running job for the last two months. How bullshit is that?

I thought I would be happier after I lost those 25kg this year. It was great for a while though. I could fit normal clothing, I could take off my shirt without being embarrased and I was secure about myself. I think I thought of myself too highly, as if I was a great grand price. I had a proper body, I no longer had a baby face, my clothes was shit but I could buy proper clothes and wear some actually nice clothes. I am more lonely now when I'm partying and hanging around people than I was sitting infront of the computer alone.

I was lazy getting my bags out of my car when I returned home Thursday. Went out today to get them and found that I had left my laundry hamper (which was mostly full with 2-3 weeks of clothes) at college. Crap.

I hooked up (hate that phrase but w/e) with a girl I'd had a crush on for 3 years the other night and we fell asleep in each others arms.

But she lives far away and there's a decent chance I might see her again this summer but if not I might not see her for a few years, or ever again.

it's kind of ridiculous how depressed feeling i get whenever i go home. despite it being christmas and being around family which i love. i just get hit at random times with a big feeling of bleh. i never really have anything to do here besides hangout with my family and see the maybe two or three friends i still keep in contact with from high school. and that's all fine and great and i enjoy seeing them. but the times where i'm just sitting around my childhood home when all the rest of my family is out doing their daily lives just makes me realize how little of my life is left here at home.
