calligraphy today~ i'm using flat nibs (speedball c2 title, c4 author, c3 text). the poem is "" by derek walcott. i made a few typos but salvaged them by turning them into other words.

Calligraphy is actually really cool, how/where did you learn it?

I always had the idea of becoming good at it for writing really good greetings cards and legible lecture notes.

my hand writing is truly awful, how can I improve it?

If it's spacing you have trouble with primary school techniques can help, writing out a short paragraph length repeatedly only focusing on making sure the space is consistent. Same with writing individual letters repeatedly and joining to make sure you're really understanding where the weakness lays.

If your personal font is sloppy one way to improve legibility quickly with no real effort is to stop writing cursive, same sloppy font but no wobbly lines makes it easier to recog.

A lot of people kind of take writing for granted and let their hand drop loose/ end up scribbling the end of words, when your form should remain consistent throughout. think of it like when you try to drink more water. At first you make a conscious effort going out of your way to do so And before you know it you're doing it naturally. All about building muscle memory.

i must say i am super proud of it. took a grand total of two days of planning and like 12 hours on the day of.
