this post is super #banter but I don't know a better thread to fill people in as I've been gone for 12 days :}

We spent four days in New York, mostly long island with my Jewish family (father's side), and to cut to it I'm writing this from the only computer in my Uncle's house in Roskilde, Denmark (stumbling over all these Danish keys ææøøåå). We've been to Copenhagen, my brother bought his girlfriend in China an Acne (per my suggestion!) scarf (gray per my suggestion!), and I got a hat off the Udsalg rack in Horse Projects so I can say I have something Danish ;). I have a lot of travel and a lot of pictures and a lot of fashion things to talk about, most excitingly Storm Copenhagen which was jaw-dropping, but I guess it'd be best to be succinct. My dad called to say I got a package from a friend in Italy so I can't wait to be back for that (and my damn cheap diet coke). Miss u C-T, xoxo

I totally get what you're saying because I'm on the same binge right now. (though it doesn't help that I am over-sharing myself on care-tags heh)

I've been cursory browsing Facebook recently and it seems full of cookie-cutter mundaneness in contrast to what we can openly express and do without restraint or whatnot faux identity management than care-tags.

I will have to say that my life has blossomed in a weird yet cool way (as with care-tags) that I simply cannot conventionally share on Facebook. There are some experiences for newfound relationships that happen so immediately in the spur of the moment that taking a so-called "selfie" or self-aggrandizing picture just ruins the essence. Call me a romantic, but we can always tap into our prose to delve and unleash some creative figment of what we experienced to enchant others in their imaginative capacity as something to re-creatively share. ;)

i hardly ever pay attention to gas prices when i'm filling up my tank unless it's over 4 bucks in which case i start to care. today the gas station was full and i was like what is going on. then i realized gas was at 3.22 and it kinda made sense. maybe i should pay more attention to gas prices.

I listened to this band way back in like 2001 and it took me until last year to actually sit down and methodically comb through their discography. I listened to The Fragile for a month straight October -> November 2013, every single day, and still think it's one of the more interesting albums I've downloaded in the past five years. Extremely dense and his classical background is painfully obvious on it.

Start with Pretty Hate Machine, go up to and including The Fragile. It's a near tie between The Downward Spiral and The Fragile, though compositionally The Fragile is far more mature; no real question. The Downward Spiral is supremely pissed, so it's good for that, and the production is amazing for what it sets out to achieve.

The band is mostly irrelevant at this point and Trent Reznor is insane, but The Slip was cool. I think Trent succeeds in putting himself in the music mores than his contemporaries, and his decline as a human being is really palpable from Pretty Hate Machine (innocent with pop sensibilities) to The Fragile (repentant and sad).
